http://chasingforgrace.blogspot.com/2012/03/farewell-to-hohhot.html
Leap and the net will appear". Saturday, March 3, 2012. A lot of times I think it's the traffic (of which there is certainly plenty), because she does the same thing in the van as we ride to various appointments and destinations (sitting on my lap, facing me, slightly restrained by the baby carrier - no car seats in China! Amazingly we haven't really seen any accidents, although our guide Aggie told us that she got into a fender-bender on her way to the hotel for our Gotcha day. March 3, 2012 at 5:58 PM.

Leap and the net will appear". Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Mrs Zhange gave us a certificate, the fabulous Inner Mongolia princess hat (pink with sequins, beads, and a pompom), and a beautiful memory book with her developmental reports from the Half the Sky program, drawings (I guess by her teachers? And pictures going all the way back to when she was about 16 months old. What a treasure! I had a list of questions that I wrote down before I met Grace (what is she scared of? Gracie puts her "John Hancock...

Chasing Grace: March 2012
http://chasingforgrace.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Leap and the net will appear". Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Oh, my poor neglected blog. I had such high hopes for it. Ah well! Finally conked out somewhere over the midwest! Had to wake her up to get her off the plane! Joy tried to take a picture to commemorate the occasion, but was shouted down by agents of the agency formerly known as INS. Gracie slept the whole ride home through DC beltway rush hour, managing to wake up for playtime and a little dinner when we got home, and then sleep through the night.

Chasing Grace: A few pictures from Hohhot!
http://chasingforgrace.blogspot.com/2012/03/few-pictures-from-hohhot.html
Leap and the net will appear". Saturday, March 3, 2012. A few pictures from Hohhot! Shopping for interesting Chinese snacks in the grocery store near the hotel. I think there was a butcher counter in the back corner. The street outside our hotel at night. Our dinner the first night in Hohhot. The menu had English, but the staff didn't. The food was pretty good, including the "American Biscuits" which we just had to order to find out if they were rolls or cookies (they were cookies). I remember so many of...

Chasing Grace: September 2011
http://chasingforgrace.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Leap and the net will appear". Sunday, September 4, 2011. I am SO not a scrapbook person. Not a saver, not crafty, not organized, nothing that goes into scrapbooking is my thing. And the shrill insistance of the adoption parenting books about your child's "lifebook" just adds to the insecurity. How to create a way to for my child to remember things I didn't experience with her, when I can't even do that good a job of documenting the things I can? Chasing Grace: January 2012
http://chasingforgrace.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Leap and the net will appear". Monday, January 16, 2012. So I started working on this blog back in September, and then I got distracted . . . So I am going to try to go back now and fill in the blanks, so to speak, about the process up to this point. The date won't make any sense, but I will try to do it order, any way. And hopefully, going forward, I'll keep up better! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Milestones on the Chase for Grace. First saw "Lily" listed on a blog and contacted BAAS - 3/7/11. Leave for ...
