Death and The Maiden. Sun, Feb. 8th, 2009, 10:51 pm. I just watched the Chinese lantern festival closing fireworks from my balcony. All the other 149 apartments that I hate came out and we all watched together. Then everyone clapped and smiled at each other in the end. I think you probably had to be here to understand, but I feel suddenly fond of this place. I'm looking forward to my trip the optometrist on Thursday. Hopefully, the news will take a weight off my mind.

Death and The Maiden. Sat, Feb. 28th, 2009, 06:47 pm. So Jerome just called me from LA. They tried to go see Animal Collective at Troubador, but it was sold out. Then he spies Randy Randall from No Age, who remembers Jerome from when we talked to them after their show here. Dean remembers J too, comes up says hi. Randy tries to get Jerome and Hanh and Jacki in to this sold out show and succeeds. So, as I'm at home making pasta and doing laundry, Jerome is hanging out with two of my favourite bands.

Death and The Maiden. Thu, Feb. 12th, 2009, 11:35 pm. I made these for my work people. I think it is one of the only times my baking has really worked out, so I was proud. I also went to the Optometrist, and all is well. All I need are some new glasses, not like, surgery or something. I almost cried when he told me I wasn't going blind or something, I was so relieved. Hooray! I hate job interviews, btw. Also, it is too hot at the moment.

Death and The Maiden. Sun, Feb. 1st, 2009, 06:39 pm. 1-I won $81 on lotto last night. 2-I'm not drinking for a while. 3-I haven't had a cigarette in ages, and I dont really even care anymore. It's wonderful. 4-I can't wait for No Age and Jay Reatard on Wed. 5-I'm looking forward to my birthday, but also not. 6- I applied for yet another new job, as well as some more post grad study. I'm determined to JAZZIFY myself this year. Nothing can really get me down when it's around. which is most of the time.

I'm sick of defeatists who are never happy and never will be, and hate people who are.
