Endometriosis and Me

Endometriosis and Me: Adenomyosis?!

http://www.endometriosisandme.blogspot.com/2006/10/adenomyosis.html

Tuesday, October 24, 2006. I've got to admit this is a new one on me. I've never even heard of "adenomyosis" (is it paranoid to believe they're making up these names just to challenge us? It took my friends MONTHS to learn how to say "endometriosis." Now I've got to teach them "adenomyosis"? Yet these docs are saying that women who still have pain after surgery to remove their endo may actually have Adenomyosis. Check out what this Reuters Health story has to say. INterestiiiing. Can't wait to hear.

Endometriosis and Me

http://www.endometriosisandme.blogspot.com/2006/10/after-nearly-month-of-too-much-working.html

Friday, October 20, 2006. After nearly a month of too much working (at my job running the Software Requirements/Documentation Department at Logistic Systems, Inc., a software company in Missoula, MT) and not enough blogging, I'm suddenly motivated to be back here and at least starting. This post at 6:30 am on a dark, rainy Friday). Where did this motivation come from, you wonder? Angela from Australia has what I have! See her Comment on my September 13th post.). She said, "Oh, your sciatic nerve? Just as...

Endometriosis and Me

http://www.endometriosisandme.blogspot.com/2006/10/i-thought-this-was-interesting-little.html

Friday, October 20, 2006. I thought this was an interesting little article from the UK's paper "The Mirror." It's about hysterectomies in general, not just for endo, but it talks about how the high number of hysterectomies is more from women asking for a hysto (thinking it will solve all their problems) rather than from doctors pushing it on women. Two things that went wrong in my case were:. I dun't need no stinkin' uterus! B VITAMINS are important as they can help reduce period pains and ease inflammat...

A scientist is talking about a new sugar substitute and:. PMS and hot flushes ". Financial Mail - Good news, sweetie. I'm sorry . . . what? That's good for ALL of that? It's blowing my mind. Check out the article and see what you think. Can it be true? Good news, sweetie. The white poison". It has even been said that if it were launched on the market...

Thursday, February 1, 2007. Introduction to This Blog. Though I do maintain a personal blog, I wanted to create a separate space where I can discuss issues related to the health challenges I have been facing. I have heard from others who are in similar situations as I am medically, and I hope this site will be a resource for them as well. Sometime in the next one or two posts, I'll introduce myself and some of the health issues I am dealing with. Posted by Blog Administrator. Introduction to This Blog.

Thursday, February 8, 2007. My Cycle of Pain. If my pain was that bad all month, I don't think he'd suggest taking only 1/3 of the medication that I need, but because it is that bad for weeks out of the month, it is okay to so severely undertreat it? Health Challenges: The Endometriosis Diet?

http://healthchallenges.blogspot.com/2007/02/endometriosis-diet.html

Thursday, February 8, 2007. One of the most common questions I hear when I tell people about my chronic pain and disability is "Have you tried alternative treatments? Most people seem to think that what "Western" medicine won't cure, "alternative" medicine will. What I've found since suffering from disabling pain is that most people want to offer a solution and don't want to believe that sometimes there isn't one. Suggesting alternative treatment is just one manifestation of that attitude. They actually ...

Thursday, February 1, 2007. About Me- My Health Challenges Story and Medical History. This is a summary of how I went from a fully functioning (though often ill), working adult, to a chronic pain patient disabled by the symptoms of illness.:. The truth is the dosage was so useless by that time with my pain so much increased that I found the prescription she'd been giving me to be useless anyway. I insisted on a referral to pain management, and wanting to stop prescribing my pain medication altogether...
