Monday, April 15, 2013. I Am Such a Band Nerd! I attended the last concert of the season today of my local municipal concert band. The performance was most excellent and edifying, even though it was mostly pop stuff. The band was at its best, with perfect intonation and articulation, and excellent balance between the sections, not to mention an enthusiastic lyrical style which just got right to me. Oh, everybody in the band and in the audience was White, most of us with gray hair. Sunday, March 24, 2013.

Georgia drivers (in the Atlanta region) are notoriously incompetent when having to manage bad road conditions. This is presumably not a mistake, as in two places the manual said that the do-it-yerself gearbox uses *automatic transmission fluid* as a lubricant.
