This past weekend saw the 11 Global Suncity standard distance triathlon take place, with the largest field of athletes to date of 700, it was going to be a great race. With temperatures of over 35 deg C expected it was a great test race for me before heading to 70.3 Asia Pacific Champs in Phuket in 2 weeks. Top 3 Elite Ladies. Top 3 Elite Men. Back in Phuket with two of the best travel partners I could have wished for, 3 days to acclimatize and it was game on. Rain was predicted for race day and the night before there was a massive storm but we were blessed with an overcast day and no rain up until the halfway point on the bike (oops spoke to late).
