Today I woke up to the smile and laughter of my new friend Jackie, the daughter of the cook at the clinic, not a bad alarm clock. I am going to miss her smile and laughter when I leave here. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Final Blog From Uganda. Even the bad news is good news sometimes. We head out for our Safari weekend and there was a small problem with the Safari vehicle. Apparently a metal piece that holds the back door shut had. Broken, while it was temporarily wired shut, it needed to be welded. Bad news, Masaka does not have power again and several villages on our route are also affected so there is no welder that can help.
