Once the main characters graduated Brakebills, I realized that The Magicians was going to be very different from Harry Potter, which primarily takes place at Hogwarts. The living arrangement that Alice, Quentin, Janet, etc. are involved in post-graduation is bizarre to me. All the kids basically do is sleep, party, eat, repeat. I cannot believe Alice died!
