Looking back on my first essay (about a television episode), I also admit to a lack of organizational coherence (as spoken of by Vermeulen and DeVries). Doing that requires a reworking of the thesis to better match the analysis already present and the addition of transitions that better connect my analysis to the thesis. And, of course, I will be editing out excess words and dangling ideas.
