Miss White Wall: June 2013
http://misswhitewall.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 7, 2013. I have been working on sewing these triangles together for quite some time now, somewhere in the neighborhood of two years. oops. Well, last night, I finally finished! I now need to count the blocks, measure them and attempt to figure out the size quilt I was going for. I honestly have no idea! I initially started designing the quilt with the following layout in mind but as I saw more and more quilts in blogland my mind started to wander. This would be adorable:. Finish it up Friday.

Miss White Wall: Appreciating all of Life's Moments
http://misswhitewall.blogspot.com/2013/05/appreciating-all-of-lifes-moments.html
Monday, May 20, 2013. Appreciating all of Life's Moments. I proceeded to the kitchen where I brewed myself the most charming Cup of Joe, I filled the mug to the brim with an exorbitant amount of Coffee Mate creamer and I practically skipped into the living room to watch the world wake up in my back yard. I am no gardener by any means but I think I created something that would make Grandma proud (my Grandmother is the historian for her chapter of the garden club, her gardens put my feeble attempt to shame...

Miss White Wall: To Chenille or not to Chenille... that is the Question?
http://misswhitewall.blogspot.com/2013/05/to-chenille-or-not-to-chenille-that-is.html
Friday, May 17, 2013. To Chenille or not to Chenille. that is the Question? There is no type of quilt I adore more than one made out of flannel for a baby. They are so soft, cuddly, cozy and always the most used. For this quilt I used a chenille technique and was so happy I did because it makes the perfect texture for little ones to play with. I was actually able to use a completely random placement of the various blocks (a first for me)! Some of the back fabric says "I love Grandma" HOW ADORABLE! Once t...

Miss White Wall: Yo-Yo
http://misswhitewall.blogspot.com/2010/07/yo-yo.html
Monday, July 26, 2010. Per wikipedia, "The Yo-Yo is a popular toy consisting of a length of string tied at one end to a flat spool. It is played by holding the free end of the string and pulling." Wait, wait, wait, wrong Yo-Yo. Now those are the right ones! I believe that you rarely notice things in life until you have an experience or reason for noticing them. Like when you buy a new car; then you see that exact make and model everywhere! Did everyone, all of a sudden, run out and buy that specific car?

Miss White Wall: Basting Tutorial
http://misswhitewall.blogspot.com/2010/08/basting-tutorial.html
Sunday, August 22, 2010. One of the most important and labor intensive steps in creating a quilt is the basting process. Although your quilting could very well not turn out perfect regardless, without a properly basted quilt, it definitely will not be what you had hoped for. Basting is the process of aligning the top, bottom and middle (batting) of a quilt together so the quilt can be "quilted". (This entire process can be ignored if you will be sending your quilt to a long-arm quilter - lucky you! Lay o...
