Min gode ven Rahama Tulla, som er skoleleder på den største skole i området, fortalte om denne landsby. Han fortalte, at de gav nogle af børnene mulighed for at gå på skolen uden at betale, fordi de virkelig ikke har midler. Jeg er pensionist og har i mit arbejdsliv været lærer og de sidste 10 år på arbejdsmarkedet arbejdet i et bofællesskab for bogligt svage unge. I 2005, som 62 årig, gik jeg på efterløn og rejste til Nepal hvert år. Jeg er i Nepal 5 måneder om året, som regel 3 måneder om foråret og 2 måneder om efteråret. Det, der får mig til at vende tilbage igen og igen er primært en meget tiltalende og meget afslappet befolkning, som trods fattigdom har bevaret deres stolthed. Synes godt om dette:. Vælg måned.

Jeg har netop fået 25.000 kr fra Lauritzen Fonden til udvikling af landsbyen Reepa. Det er helt fantastisk. Jeg er meget, meget taknemmelig, så mange ting vil være muligt. Jeg var ude i landsbyen og sad faktisk på førstesalen i vores fælleshus, under jordskælvet. Det var voldsomt. Alle de indvendige mure i vores 15 meter lange hus væltede under en voldsom larm.
