English Phil Travels

Monday, July 2, 2012. I went to Munich last weekend for the day. Munich is absoultely huge and I will certainly go back before I leave. One day is certainly not enough time to explore. We walked to the English gardens and stumbled upon what is the craziest thing I have seen here. There is a small river called the Eisbach that flows through the English garden, and at the beginning they created a "manmade" wave that surfers surf. Pretty awesome! English gardens. It's a Ro Ro Dog! Thursday, June 28, 2012.

English Phil Travels: Downtown Nurnberg

http://www.englishphiltravels.blogspot.com/2012/06/downtown-nurnberg.html

Saturday, June 9, 2012. I am in Nurmberg Germany for 3 months on company business. I hope to be able to travel to many places around Europe during my short stay here. This past week and a half has been a blurr! Nurnberg is a beautiful city! The Church of Our Lady *Downtown Nurnberg* The market here is amazing! The bread is sooooo good! Inside The Church Of Our Lady. We were walking by and saw this amazing Coffee/Dessert restaurant. Amazing! We had to try it. Who am I to complain? June 9, 2012 at 11:55 AM.

Thursday, June 28, 2012. I had the luck to be in Europe during the Euro 2012 soccer tournament. I knew that soccer was HUGE in Europe but I didn't realize that when Germany plays the city literally shuts down! I went to 2 public viewings. Germany plays Italy tonight in the quarter finals. Bosch has cancelled work for the night shift crew and is actually broadcasting the game on a jumbo-tron at work. Pretty nuts. 10x's more crazy than the superbowl. Viewing the game on the jumbo-tron. On top of the castle.

English Phil Travels: Erlangen Beer Fest

http://www.englishphiltravels.blogspot.com/2012/06/erlangen-beer-fest.html

Monday, June 11, 2012. I went to Erlangen for an amazing beer fest! This is actually one of the largest in Germany. It's a 3 day festival with 60k ppl at any given time. The beer and music were amazing. I only wish I took more pictures. I did however get a video of the type of music that the band's played. (pretty funny) Every section had a different band, and every band was playing some variation of American music. How real BEER is poured! Waiting in line for a stein of beer at one of the local brewery's.

The Betzhold Family: March 2013

http://lindyanderic.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Easter cookies and other fun rainy day activities. We had a very rainy (but fun! Weekend this past weekend. We had a great play date with our neighbors to make Easter cookies! It was pouring rain all weekend, but it gave us a good opportunity to break out our rain gear. Here are a few pics of us walking over to Liz' house. Maylen and Gage had a great time cutting the dough into fun shapes. They were ready to dive into the sprinkles too, but we had to bake the cookies first :).

The Betzhold Family: November 2012

http://lindyanderic.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 30, 2012. November was a month of visiting friends, family, good food, and fun with neighbors. This first shot is Gage's school picture. We thought it was so funny because it is not his personality at all! Our boy is smiling most of the time for sure. At least he took a picture. Maylen was totally freaked out by the whole process evidently, so she was unable to take a picture. Poor girl. We were so excited to have the Shultz' come visit! Me and Maylen at the park. I just thought this pic...

The Betzhold Family: December 2014

http://lindyanderic.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 29, 2014. What a crazy wonderful year! It has been more than a year and a half since we last updated this blog. Quite a lot has happened in that time and I am sad that we did not document it here. We are obviously time constrained at the moment - but somehow we managed to keep up with it when we had twin infants - so I am going to attempt to keep it updated again! On March 7 at 8:54am Juliet Avery Betzhold joined our family! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Brewery Acquistion Mad Libs.

The Betzhold Family: April 2013

http://lindyanderic.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 25, 2013. The weather has been HOT and it has been COLD but we haven't really had too many breezy ideal Spring days. The day of our photo shoot was one that was COLD! Luckily, the day had warmed up some by the afternoon, so we didn't have to bundle up too much. We had a great time at the photo shoot, and we even got some good pictures! We love this one of Maylen and Gage on the stairs. It doesn't get much cuter than this. This may be our best family picture yet! Wednesday, April 3, 2013.

The Betzhold Family: September 2012

http://lindyanderic.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Monday, September 17, 2012. Happy Birthday Maylen and Gage! We had a Thing 1/Thing 2 birthday cookout for them in our back yard. It was just a small gathering (while we can still get away with that! Of friends and family, and it was a great time! Oma (Eric's mom) made the MOST DARLING Thing 1 and Thing 2 outfits for Maylen and Gage! She got this darling fabric with thing 1 and thing 2 on it and patterned it after a set of outfits I saw on facebook. They turned out so cute! Maylen in the playset. And toda...

Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Christmas Eve started out great with a cookie decorating party hosted by the "big kids" across the street from us. It was such fun, M and G both had a ball - including just eating the toppings! There is no doubt that Santa will love these cookies! The Betzhold family continued the tradition of have Christmas Eve make your own pizzas! It is a yummy and fun tradition! Some present opening on Christmas Eve. Tickle fun on our new lounge mats!

The Betzhold Family: January 2013

http://lindyanderic.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 31, 2013. We had a few folks over for New Years Eve and we didn't get many pictures except these two! It was really nice to be able to put all the children to bed and still hang out with everyone. We had a bonfire and stayed up until close to 2am! That is unheard of these days, even for the ones among us who didn't have a few children in tow. This was the best pic I was able to get of Ollie, Gage, and Maylen. Who could pass up an after Christmas tutu sale! We did alot of this in January!

The Betzhold Family: February 2013

http://lindyanderic.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, February 23, 2013. We had a good time inside and out! We played in our playroom a bunch and explored a few new playgrounds too! We also started potty training in February! No one tells you that this is the beginning of a process, not an event. It took us a few weeks, and Maylen and Gage are doing awesome! They caught on right from the beginning, and we are on our way to pullup-free life! These glasses were one of our big-big super surprises for going on the potty! Sunday, February 17, 2013.

The Betzhold Family: Hippety Hop!

http://lindyanderic.blogspot.com/2013/04/hippety-hop.html

Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Our Easter weekend was full of great weather and fun events. We started by decorating cupcakes in the front yard. Well, Gage decorated cupcakes and Maylen mostly ate them. Gage ate them too, but he was definitely into putting on all the toppings. Maylen liked to put the toppings on then lick them off.and only lick them off. I don't think she consumed a single speck of cake. Look at that frosting mouth! Maylen on the hunt. Post egg hunt alfresco dinner. All dressed up for Easter.

The Betzhold Family: August 2012

http://lindyanderic.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Friday, August 31, 2012. We spend many evenings on our porch, and inevitably, either Maylen or Gage will come up to us saying "Mist, Mist, Mist, Mist." Our children love running through the water from the hose on the mist setting! We finally got some pictures of this event that probably happens 3 or 4 times a week at our house. Their faces are hilarious in some of these! Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Some Random August Happenings. M and G in the eagle's nest. This past Saturday we went island hopping!

Knowledge is what allows us to advance to a better life. The ability to collect, organize, apply, and pass down knowledge. Is one of the key sources of growth in humanity and the global economy. Knowledge is built incrementally with one person building upon the work of another. The more we make this process easy the faster and further knowledge will reach. And thus benefit all of human kind.
