Adventures in Williams-Land: Raising A Boy-Jock
http://williams-land.blogspot.com/2013/10/raising-boy-jock.html
Tuesday, October 1, 2013. While his sisters spend time deciding what to wear and how to do their hair, Graeson is a get-up-and-go kind of guy. If his mother would allow it, he'd wear the same Beaver jersey and shorts to school every day. (And why not? That's what Dad wears everyday! He has several different Beaver shirts- enough for several days of the week. In fact, when he draws pictures of his family or of himself doing something- he draws himself in the Beaver shirt. Sorting clothes in his closet.

Violet & Gray: Easy Peasy
http://violetandgray.blogspot.com/2013/12/easy-peasy.html
Sunday, December 29, 2013. This little boy, who came into our lives so unexpectedly, is patient, quiet, funny, and so very easy. He bumbles around looking for things to do, ways to entertain himself. He keeps himself happy and is amused by what is happening around him. He eats like a horse. He could eat a horse. He eats more than his brother and sister combined, and sometimes the leftovers from their plates too. He doesn't like the word "no," and. Crumbles into a million pieces when we have to be stern.

Violet & Gray: December 2014
http://violetandgray.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 19, 2014. I miss being here. The year has slipped by in a blur of hours, days, and months, and here we are, 10 months since my last post. This collection of family moments and platform to share them has always been a creative outlet. My work has eaten up the better part of my days, and time with my kids is fleeting and precious. Sam got me a new camera for my 38th birthday this year - a kind nudge to keep taking pics and capture the fleeting moments. Links to this post. Bonnie Being a Kim.

Well, 2013 is in full force, and we are slowly returning to old routines as VCU classes begin again next week. I am looking forward to this semester, and hoping that it is kinder than the last. A new baby and now family of five, plus Sam's heavy teaching load made last semester as challenging as we thought it would be. How shall I put this?

A ballerina in black and white. When the city dance program Ada is part of opened its doors for parents, allowing us to come in and watch our children practice in the studio for one night only, Sam agreed to stay home with the boys so I could attend. I was in for so much more than I anticipated though. Ada and he...

Violet & Gray: February 2013

Thursday, February 14, 2013. Links to this post. Monday, February 11, 2013. Links to this post. Friday, February 8, 2013. Get the Ajax out, people! I mentioned a couple posts ago some changes in the making this year. It is February, and while we all like to talk about resolutions for a good 1-2 weeks, the "New Year" spirit is really lost after the MLK holiday as we get back to our ordinary day-to-day lives. What the hell is wrong with us? Feeling angry, and grumpy, and all around disillusioned with peopl...

We've figured out that "Fuddy" is Ada, also known as "Buddy" or "Bud" in our house. All of our kids are). Apparently Fuddy and I are not the only people in the house who like to take pictures. Violet & Gray: The sun is coming
http://violetandgray.blogspot.com/2014/02/the-sun-is-coming.html
Sunday, February 23, 2014. The sun is coming. Dubbed this a "fussy February,"and she couldn't be more spot on. I took time off the end of December and over New Year's and have been paying the price ever since. The usual stuff coupled with double ear infections, stressful days, constant back pain, federal grants, working late after the kids are down, and.the list goes on. Looking forward to the beginning of Spring, and a chance to get out and explore, breath fresh air, and get lost in a day with my family.

Sunday, June 30, 2013. Links to this post. Thursday, June 20, 2013. Mom, what is on top of the world? With Ada out of school and big questions coming at a fast pace, we are having fun finding ways to answer those big questions. We have been learning about the solar system with the aid of printable coloring pages and heading to the library. I love Peep and Big Wide World - Joan Cusak as the narrator couldn't be more perfect - and this episode on the moon is fun. If you decide to go to the moon.
