Skrilla Knits: Resolved.
http://skrillaknits.blogspot.com/2007/01/resolved_02.html
Knitting has long been considered antiquated, something for grandmas and whipped little housewives. That just isn't true. Knitting is one of those minute to learn, lifetime to master deals, and I'm in it for the long haul. Hi, Happy New Year! Eric and I went to Salvie's. Sweater with some holes that make it look very cool and deconstructed, and a big wooly saddle shouldered sack the color of pea soup. Also, a cashmere/silk/wool (79% cashmere! Clearly, I'm quite happy with the result. I wanted to go w...

Hyperactive Hands: Another Farewell
http://hyperactivehands.blogspot.com/2008/09/another-farewell.html
Thursday, September 11, 2008. One of the saddest parts for me was that the funeral was on Blue's first birthday. My baby girl turned one on the 9th, and, unfortunately, I wasn't there. I'm so glad I went out for Grandpa's funeral, though. It was good for all of us to be there. I'll post again soon with cute kid pictures. I'm glad he's a peace, too. It's so hard to watch someone suffer like that for so long. I like what your Great-Aunt said, too. That really sums it up. ( (hugs) ). Come Knit With Me!

Hyperactive Hands: Gratuitous Cat Picture Ahead!
http://hyperactivehands.blogspot.com/2006/09/gratuitous-cat-picture-ahead.html
Monday, September 11, 2006. Gratuitous Cat Picture Ahead! I was trying to think of what to do for my art piece today. As I was sitting here, the boy in the fur coat cuddled up next to me. His fur is so glossy, it reflects the light in such interesting ways- a subtle silver under electric lights, a blinding white in the full sun. I think it's only appropriate that on the anniversary of such a terrible, terrible day that I focused in on my two boys (yeah, the human boy didn't make it into the picture, but ...

Hyperactive Hands: With a heavy heart...
http://hyperactivehands.blogspot.com/2008/08/with-heavy-heart.html
Thursday, August 21, 2008. With a heavy heart. I was trying to think of a fitting tribute to him, but I didn't really feel like chewing through any of my knitting, or knocking a glass to the floor so it smashed and watching the water run. I'll just put up a picture of him doing one of his other favorite things- sitting on cardboard. Kouros, Keeper of the Pizza Summer 2004-August 20, 2008. Oh, Susan, I am sorry for you loss. He was a beautiful kitty and I know he'll be missed. Come Knit With Me!

Hyperactive Hands: December 2007
http://hyperactivehands.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 17, 2007. The other day my niece Emily greeted me at her dance class with, "I had a dream about Kouros last night! Uh huh, and he stapled all my stuffed kitties to the sofa. And a bottle of shampoo.". This is why I don't bring him over to their house. Bad cat. Saturday, December 08, 2007. On taking time for myself. I went to a knitting group on Wednesday night! I had knit all of 2 rounds on Enid since my girl Blue arrived, but I jumped back in the saddle again. I had a BLAST!

Hyperactive Hands: July 2008
http://hyperactivehands.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 21, 2008. A break from cover letter writing. Can't get enough of that face. Thursday, July 03, 2008. Here's the back of my flutter sleeve cardigan. The yarn (Knitting Fever InterMezzo DK) knits up beautifully. I'm really pleased with how it looks. I've started the left front side. My original plan was to have it finished to wear to the opening of our new building at the main apartment complex where I work. It opened July 1st. One more goal I didn't make. Hyperactive Hands: September 2008
http://hyperactivehands.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 25, 2008. I promised cute kid pictures. And I don't want to disappoint! Blue is one year old now, and she is modeling her big girl jammies. Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Sometimes it takes a long long time and a lot of crappy stuff happening to help you make important decisions. Sometimes you need to have lost all faith in yourself and your ability to make decisions for you to be able to see what you need to do next. So, yeah. That's one piece figured out. Hyperactive Hands: In the way of explanations...
http://hyperactivehands.blogspot.com/2007/02/in-way-of-explanations.html
Monday, February 26, 2007. In the way of explanations. So tomorrow would have been my due date, had my pregnancy. This summer gone to term. Which is why it seems like a perfect time to tell you. THIS TIME THERE'S SOMETHING IN THERE! This ultrasound is from a month ago, and a 9-week embryo is a little lump of a baby, but it has a heartbeat, and we've heard it a couple of times, and everything seems to be going along well! I'm nearly 14 weeks, and I'm due August 29th. I am so happy for you guys! Susan I am...

http://hyperactivehands.blogspot.com/2006/09/whats-up-with-my-hand.html
Tuesday, September 26, 2006. What's up with my hand? I won a copy of Claudine Hellmuth's. Book "Collage Discovery Workbook: Beyond the Unexpected! And it arrived today. [I took her 20 minute challenge at Craftsanity, submitted my piece. And then my name was one of the ones drawn for the book! It looked like so much fun, I decided to do a collage family portrait. It makes me laugh everytime I look at it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Come Knit With Me! The End of September. Whats up with my hand?
