Lezlie's World: FIBERGLASS
http://lezliesworld.blogspot.com/2015/04/fiberglass.html
Sailing adventures, boatbuilding, vacations, and videography. Thursday, April 16, 2015. If one layer is good, then two is better! I put down two layers of 18 oz woven roving on the bottom. The stiffener is made from two scarfed 1x4s. The chine logs and hull sides have one layer of 6 oz glass. I now have the stiffener glued down, but didn't get a picture of it. Use your imagination until the next post. :-). Here is a mermaid, that's one option. A dragon came in second place in the figurehead survey. April...

Lezlie's World: RIGHT SIDE UP
http://lezliesworld.blogspot.com/2015/05/right-side-up.html
Sailing adventures, boatbuilding, vacations, and videography. Sunday, May 24, 2015. All of the snowbirds have gone back to their homes up north, and the Key West Community Sailing Club is like a ghost town. Since there were no strong abled bodies there, I had to recruit help from outside to turn the boat back right-side up. My boyfriend Chuck, and three of his friends came over to do the deed. http://lezliesworld.blogspot.com/2015/03/bottom-is-on.html
Sailing adventures, boatbuilding, vacations, and videography. Monday, March 30, 2015. The plans call for an exterior chine log. They are on and everything has been faired. The bottom goes on in two sections, with a butt plate holding them together. Done! It went on very easy, I didn't need help. Key West Community Sailing Center. March 31, 2015 at 4:42 PM. Lezlie's World: January 2015
http://lezliesworld.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sailing adventures, boatbuilding, vacations, and videography. Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Progress is slow. There is only about 1 1/2 hours of daylight after I get off work, and at least 15 minutes of that is getting my tools out of my vehicle and cleaning up after I’m done. It was suggested that a light could be rigged for me to work later. Everyone at the Sailing Club is very accommodating. It’s beginning to feel like home. Labels: Key West Community Sailing Center. Lezlie's World: February 2015
http://lezliesworld.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sailing adventures, boatbuilding, vacations, and videography. Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Stem is cut. Transom is cut and the framing cut and glued in place. The transom doesn't extend all the way to the gunwale, in order to accommodate a short shaft motor. At some point I will want to hang a motor off the back. The bulkheads on either end of the cockpit are almost finished. Glue a couple seat supports in place and they will be ready to go 3D. Saturday, February 7, 2015. Photo by Chuck Lienweber.

Lezlie's World: MY VIDEOS
http://lezliesworld.blogspot.com/p/my-videos.html
Sailing adventures, boatbuilding, vacations, and videography. Several years ago, I got a camera that also recorded video. About the same time, I bought a Mac Mini computer, and it came with a program called iMovie. I started to mess around with the program and have had a great time with it. I love to make videos, complete with soundtrack. I have listed a few here, enjoy. MATT LAYDEN SAILS SCOUT/TARDIS. Matt sails her on Lake Eufaula at SailOK 2014. Lezlie's World: MY SUMMER VACATION
http://lezliesworld.blogspot.com/2015/07/my-summer-vacation.html
Sailing adventures, boatbuilding, vacations, and videography. Monday, July 27, 2015. Remember when you had to write a "What I did on my summer vacation" report? Well, I haven't had to write one of those in many years, but I thought I would write one tonight. Getting ready to take off from the dock. I guess we will find out when Chuck gets his ski boat running again. Neither Chuck or I had been to the Grand Ole Opry, until this past week. On our way home, we went to Nashville. We toured the Ryman ...The n...
