Searching for the perfect trail. Thursday, September 25, 2014. Definitely the final scent of summer. How lucky are we? Promises from weather forecasters of an ‘Indian summer’ every year never materialise, but 2014 has been a fantastic exception, this has possibly been the best September I can recall. It was after 5pm by the time we rolled back into Ambleside, showered, and headed for the best Pizza in the lakes, at Dodds. More pics to follow, as they're on my phone. Warmer than it looks. The way we did.

The loudest thunder and brightest lightning ever witnessed by thee, hailstones, sleet, monstrous headwinds, rivers where trails used to be. All is was missing was a plague of locusts. Searching for the perfect trail. Saturday, February 14, 2015. Most people don't really like the cold, and the mere mention of winter sets folk into a downward spiral. I think us amounting bikers - and probably most other folks that enjoy the outdoors - are a wee bit different. I enjoy all the seasons, each one has its pros and cons, but all of them have far more of the plus points. Roll on 2015 and all you bring for us, I'm in. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm also back doing spin classes again, which also supplements the lack of night riding at the moment, and is a far better workout, especially as one class is fast paced and quick changing, whereas the second class is a longer, endurance based affair.
