my life is done in watermelon sugar: platen press workshop
http://jerinpaulson.blogspot.com/2013/03/platen-press-workshop.html
My life is done in watermelon sugar. Monday, March 25, 2013. A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking a platen press workshop with Philadelphia artist Donna Globus. I had never printed on a platen press before, and it was a lot of fun! The workshop yielded roughly 100 business cards - it was a 2 color, 2-up process, with hand-set type. The fonts were Goudy Openface and Baskerville. Also, please excuse my quick images. I just shot these really fast at my work bench.). March 26, 2013 at 12:54 PM.

http://jerinpaulson.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
My life is done in watermelon sugar. Sunday, January 27, 2013. A still from an animation. I have been busy with the stop motion animation that will be a large part of my thesis. It will be a long while still before I am ready to share the actual animation, but I thought I would share a still from it so you can start to get an idea. This image is from the part of the project entitled Now we fill the wondrous vastness (Space Debris, 2012). It is a pressure print of an embroidery of fishing line into paper.

http://jerinpaulson.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
My life is done in watermelon sugar. Monday, February 25, 2013. A small embroidery I made this past fall. Have I mentioned lately how much I love French knots? And how one day I will see this in person instead of merely making time-consuming, unrequited embroideries? 6" x 7 1/2". Saturday, February 23, 2013. An incredible reminder of the wonder of the universe. Monday, February 11, 2013. I am pleased to announce that I finally have a new website! Thursday, February 7, 2013. The process is slow, but medit...

my life is done in watermelon sugar: September 2012
http://jerinpaulson.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
My life is done in watermelon sugar. Sunday, September 9, 2012. I made this at PBI! At the Paper and Book Intensive in Ox-bow this past May, I also took tool making with Shanna Leino. My third class at PBI was paper marbling with Steve Pittelkow. He is a superb marbler and I came home with about 40 sheets that I had marbled myself, which is wonderful. I'm excited to use them in our bookbinding homework over the next school year! These are a few of my favorites that I produced. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
