Straight to the point :. September 28th, 2006. This entry has been cross-posted in. I don’t know if any of you folks have read this article before, but on July 25, 2006 the Wall Street Journal. Published an article by Mark Fritz entitled, How the new, deadly pocketknife became a $1 billion business. A reprint of this article can be found here. Straight to the point :. While perusing Benchmade’s website tonight, I noticed that a variety of replacement handle inlays for the 610 Rukus. Folder are now being offered for sale. With inlays available in carbon fiber, micarta, G10, and wine wood, Rukus owners can now easily customize the appearance and feel of their knives, at least to a certain extent. The costs of these replacement inlays, however, are noticeably steep, with prices ranging from $50 for wine wood to $140 for carbon fiber.
