A Wild Sheep Chase
A Wild Sheep Chase. New York Times Books Review. TIME Survey - Murakami. New York Times Review. Sunday, March 29, 2009. Week no. 5. In general, I liked this book. The style in which it was written is entertaining and thought-provoking. Especially the descriptions that seem so pointless, yet artistic and meaningful to the feel of the novel. They also conveyed certain emotions that were better left un-explicitly stated. This book was an interesting read because it flowed in a different way that I had never...

The Book Thief
Monday, April 6, 2009. Weeks Four and Five. Question: Do you think maybe Zusak has had lots of encounters with death that may have caused him to write from the point of view of death, or do you think he may have just wanted to have an interesting narrator? One Hundred Years of Solitude
One Hundred Years of Solitude. Saturday, March 28, 2009. Final thoughts, week funf. I just finished One Hundred Years of Solitude today, and I must say, I was very pleased with the ending. I really appreciate it when an author can compose a satisfying ending, because so many times I feel like they are insufficient. It did leave me asking, however, were Melquiades parchments the novel itself, and we have been reading the entire time the history that he wrote? Or are these separate? Monday, March 23, 2009.
