She didn't have a big party but we took her to the aquarium and had presents and cake and a little party at home. I'm about 6 weeks late with this, but Xander really did turn 9 in August! He didn't get to do much for his actual birthday because he tested for his deputy black belt. The daycare provider has said that they will put up a small fence around it and “move the bigger toys in front of it to block access” but I’m still feeling uncomfortable about it.
