Caught in the Crossfire. The glass is always half full. Experiential Buying - Univercell Sync in the city. After a (very) long time, I made my way to a blogger event in the city. This time it was at a re-vamped Univercell Sync at Nungambakkam, inviting bloggers to visit and experience the store. Chennai heat seemed to be graciously absent, clouds covering the usual blinding afternoons. The store was right on the main road, making it easy for direction-blind people like me. For the camera crazies, Music.

Caught in the Crossfire. The glass is always half full. To the boy I loved. Since 2007, this blog has undergone several changes. Some deletions, some fresh new posts and some randomness. One thing that had remained constant was the presence of 'R' in my posts. Some were mere mentions. Some were all about him. This space was a reminder of everything we've shared. This post oscillates between the past and the present. Barista: What you like to order ma'am? Me: How do you know my order? R and I spent the da...

Caught in the Crossfire. The glass is always half full. In a crowded cafe, over breakfast, there was mostly silence between us. He was running late, I was in no hurry. Chewing on my pancakes, I was content just to sit there and munch. Wolfing down his eggs, he got up, indicating his hurry. He leaned down and gave me a kiss - soft. Like there were countless kisses to follow. "Later, babe.". With a half a smile, I waved. Like there will be innumerable waves. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). New Girl in Toronto.

Caught in the Crossfire: Daydreaming is an art
http://etchingmystery.blogspot.com/2015/07/daydreaming-is-art.html
Caught in the Crossfire. The glass is always half full. Daydreaming is an art. I've an upcoming trip and I tried to search for my long-forgotten camera in the nooks and crannies of my house where I keep things I don't regularly use. My Camera lies forgotten. I managed to find it after considerable time and pulled it out of the shelf with dust, motley and lint clinging to every last forgotten inch of the cover, not to mention, the malfunctioning buttons of the camera itself. Photos over a week. If you ask...

Caught in the Crossfire. The glass is always half full. Your task was simple. To get as many people out as you can from the place where the moon was tilting into the earth and causing chaos. While pieces of it continued to fall, I clasped my sister’s hands and we ran into the subterranean paths. The places where chipped pieces of glass and concrete would not lacerate us as the inevitable approached us with a rushing speed. Look at the sky! Will you come with me? Perhaps I didn’t need an explanation...

Caught in the Crossfire. The glass is always half full. Death and the taboo on speaking. What do you say to a person if their friend has passed away suddenly? I give "the hug" - the one to convey your understanding of their hurt and reassurance. A touch, a caress of the hands, to convey that you're here if they need you. A pat on the back to convey your empathy. An arm around the shoulder to convey your support. Anything you say isn't enough. Suddenly, the words are inadequate. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
