My Journey Back from Concussion. How Our Quest Began. Two and a Half Years (almost). I successfully completed a year of part-time classroom teaching, and toward the end of the year I subbed for colleagues for full days as well. It’s great to know I can tolerate that level of sensory input and keep up with what I need to do in a classroom. Someday I hope to be able to transition off these medications, but today is probably not that day. Beginning full cognitive rest combined with light physical exercise.

Sunday, April 24, 2011. 1 cup sugar, divided. 1/2 cup butter, softened. 1/2 tbsp. grated lemon peel. 1/4 cup freshly squeeze lemon juice. 1/2 tsp. vanilla. 1 1/2 white whole wheat flour. 1/2 tsp. salt. 1/2 tsp. baking soda. 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar. 1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine 3/4 cup sugar and all the remaining ingredients until combine. If dough is not firm enough, chill 1 hour. 3 Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Cool 2 minutes and remove from cookie sheet.
