Calico Jack: September 2011
http://spacepiratejack.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Issue 3 page 3. It figures that the first thing we see Pickles do is something stupid. As Keith "Just No Point" Taylor suggested the reason why she's so heavily scarred is because she's in dangerous situations often, though sometimes it's due to an extreme lack of foresight on her own part. Recently it's occurred to me that with her midriff-baring outfit and scars Pickles passingly resembles a different character. From a much better comic. Tuesday, September 20, 2011. As many...

kazumiwannabe: octobre 2011
http://kazumiwannabe.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Samedi 29 octobre 2011. I waited to post this because I really hoped I'd have something else to post with it. but it didn't happen. I'm moving out of my flat in 11 days, selling it a few days later, and I'm up to my ears amongst card boxes and piles of stuff. (is it among or amongst? So in the pic is an older drawing, now colored (view from my current place), and leaves I found in the neighborhood, some kind of wild grapevines. Mardi 18 octobre 2011. Books, and books. Serious stuff, for a change! On the ...

kazumiwannabe: juillet 2011
http://kazumiwannabe.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Mercredi 27 juillet 2011. Bananas (sort of), egg head, faces, and a treasure map. I've been very busy these last few days. My daughter is with her grand parents in Bretagne, learning to sail and enjoying the rain. And I've been playing with acrylic paints, totally new for me, and totally fun! Some kind of strange bananas appeared. Then things fused out of this egg head. And then I felt like drawing a map of what I want in my life, in the spirit of Shakti Gawain's Treasure Maps, and I made this :. My last...

kazumiwannabe: Books, flowers and various animals
http://kazumiwannabe.blogspot.com/2012/05/books-flowers-and-various-animals.html
Mercredi 2 mai 2012. Books, flowers and various animals. So I've been reading. (what's new? On the right, a lovely book about a little boy whose father is severely depressed while the mother has gone to Australia for work and never calls her son. The boy is cared for by the fun grand-mother. It could be sad (and it is, at times) but it's mostly funny and poetical and slightly magical, all things I love in a book. And finally, this is a small part of a much bigger drawing, from the story I'm currently ill...

kazumiwannabe: mai 2012

Mardi 22 mai 2012. 2 books, 1 dog, 2 kids. On the right, the fascinating work of Carl Jung. I haven't finished reading it yet, as it's not a book you can read fast. I frequently have to get it back to the library and pick it up again a few days later! Luckily no one else seems to be interested for the moment. Mercredi 2 mai 2012. kazumiwannabe: avril 2012
http://kazumiwannabe.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Lundi 23 avril 2012. Two books, fushia flowers and a kid. On the left another one by Anita Shreve. It was very good, very emotional, but I don't think I'll read more books from that author. I like when books give me a little something that helps me grow, or see things in a new way, and here, I don't find that. It lacks magic, in a way. On the right is a book by Haruki Murakami, and it has all the magic I need, and more! Samedi 14 avril 2012. A fish, a prayer and a rabbit in a basket. This is my psychedel...
