Addicted to Toaster Strudel: June 2009
http://addictedtotoasterstrudel.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. I owe (including most recent penalties and fees). Federal: $3,876.88. State: $1,185.43. Yes, ouch. Big time. Well, crap. The limit isn't really enough to pay anyone in full. So, I put it off to the side and didn't think about it. And this has been way too much dealing with money for one night. I need some Toaster Strudel. Trying a new way to save money away. The other night, I was reading The Simple Dollar. What I would ordinarily do is on Bill Day. So, my plan is this. Once a...

Friday, September 25, 2009. Great Financial Decisions in DelMoniq History #4 - Buying Hair Clippers. I just got done cutting my hair, and while I was in the shower afterward, I thought of Great Decision #4 - Buying my own hair clippers. Anyway, one day back in December 2004, I decided that a great way to save money was to start cutting my own hair. All through grad school, I was being cheap, by going to SuperCuts. And I just cut it all off (I pretty much shaved it all off today, but I have cut with more ...

http://addictedtotoasterstrudel.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Argh So, I have gone from several posts per week to about one per month. What can I say? Sometimes, life just gets in the way of living. However, today was quite a financially exciting day. For the first time in I dont know when, I spent ZERO DOLLARS today. Then, in a flush of inspiration when I got home, I rolled all my change. Honestly, I am totally surprised at how much change I had in my change jug. $139.50! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. 31 Days to ...

Addicted to Toaster Strudel: April 2010
http://addictedtotoasterstrudel.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 15, 2010. I just got an email from BofA. My reimbursement of my travel expenses from my conference trip at the end of March has posted! That is $875.79! Excellent. Of course, I have to remember that this is not extra. Money; it needs to go to pay the credit cards that financed the conference trip. Well, the rental car ($250) was on my debit card, so I can hang on to that. ;). So, yeah. It is being a good day. Monday, April 12, 2010. Granted, this is only one account among several. But...

Addicted to Toaster Strudel: August 2009
http://addictedtotoasterstrudel.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 26, 2009. I am so DONE of BofA. So, I posted the other day about how I overdrew my checking account. Nothing to worry about, right? Anyway, later that afternoon, I went for a snack run and I used my debit card, because I wanted the cash on hand for lunch. I have money; there's no problem. Today, I get in to work and check my email, and there's my daily balance email. -$32! So, I printed out the transaction listing and such and marched down to the bank, fuming. L explains that I was ther...

Addicted to Toaster Strudel: May 2010
http://addictedtotoasterstrudel.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 17, 2010. I just got a letter in the mail from the IRS. I assumed that they were telling me that they credited my $150 refund to my 2008 tax balance. I was partly right. Turns out, I missed a credit on my 1040. So, not only did they credit the $150 refund that I had calculated, they also credited an additional $400 to the 2008 balance! It feels good to see the end.
