It was, in fact, a reference to Tennessee Williams' play, Camino Real, which I saw about 40 years ago in black-and-white on BBC television. Wednesday, 19 November 2014. We were told not to go to Propriano. "It's awful and full of people." Well, in late October it was fine. Only two hotels open, but most of the restaurants and very few people to be seen. The first two pictures are taken from the window of our hotel. I can't actually remember where this was. Only there was one ineey meeny mini bikini moment where it could all have gone a bit well .I believe the expression is ‘tits up’. A few years ago.well maybe more than a few.I was on a train at some daft time in the morning on my way to San Francisco. I hadn’t slept much the night before anxious about the trip and was a bit woozy. The carriage was almost empty and I thought no one would mind me snoring so leant down to pull out the foot rest. It’s a funny thing but this time last week I was in South Africa in Pretoria East Hospital sitting with my Dad who was attached to a remarkably noisy array of machines some of which blinked, some gurgled and some which went ‘ding’ like the number 57 bus to Highbury circa 1970.
