8230;not much about even less, photography optional…. Shorewood ’76…. Our Actual Reunion…. I realize it’s been quite a long time since I’ve posted and, in all honesty, continuing to write about my summer trip doesn’t seem all that promising. The trip was great, now I’m thinking of the next one. Which brings me to the topic of those darn bikes…especially this one at the moment:. For their own branded bikes quite some time ago. Mine doesn’t look anything like it did way back when. I was up there last night...

BIYDKV’s “Titanium Pelican” | vélo flâneur
https://veloflaneur.wordpress.com/2015/01/30/biydkvs-titanium-pelican
Pretending to speak French since 2009. BIYDKV’s “Titanium Pelican”. John of Bonk If You Don’t Know Velocio. Has a lovely bicycle with a great story. I’ve seen the bike in person, and have one photo of it saved from JimG, when he built a rack for it. But I haven’t been able to find many photos of the bike from my faraway perch in Southern California. How else am I supposed to eye it! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Underbiking | vélo flâneur
https://veloflaneur.wordpress.com/2009/12/21/underbiking
Pretending to speak French since 2009. Ride a traditional road bicycle on surfaces that typically warrant the use of knobbie tires, flat bars, and sometimes suspension. Its fun to see dual-suspension mountain bikers’ strange looks on the trails as we underbike. A bicycle with a light frame, drop bars, slick tires, multiple gears, suitable for ordinary roads, but instead ridden on fire roads, trails, singletrack, sand, and rocks. Let’s put some 35mm road tires on there, we’ll have ourselves an underbike.

Bike 21: Developing a bike commute habit: June 2011
http://bike21.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 27, 2011. Rules of the road. I need to work on the training wheels situation. It's killing me that they are not past that, yet. Earlier in the day we had fun on this bike rack. Posted by Juan Roman Magdaraog. Links to this post. Friday, June 3, 2011. Oh, yeah, I have a blog. I don't want to quit just yet, though. I do want to mention that I took a test ride of a Globe Live 2. Globe. For those unaware, is a spinoff brand of Specialized that "specializes" (see what I did there? The Live (I thi...

Ordering Goods from Good People: Ocean Air Cycles | vélo flâneur
https://veloflaneur.wordpress.com/2015/01/06/ordering-goods-from-good-people-ocean-air-cycles
Pretending to speak French since 2009. Ordering Goods from Good People: Ocean Air Cycles. I met Rob ( Ocean Air Cycles. He worked hard to establish a home-based business supplying mostly US-made goods that constitute “useful stuff.” Now he’s opening a brick-and-mortar retail space in Ventura. Anyway, I recently ordered the Helix Coffee Dripper. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Address never made public). Carla's Swank Tank: February 2015
http://carlasswanktank.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 1, 2015. A one-way mirror to my soul. This January was really fun, because I got to kick off the year with working on my helmet design for Nutcase Helmets'. I started out on the work. After transferring my drawings to linoleum, I carved them out. I then mixed some inks, brayered them out, and inked up my linoleum to get it ready to print. The most exciting part of my process is when I get to see how the print turned out! Photo credit: Toby Orzano). EXACTLY. In the end, we decided to ...

My Bleriot Build: Still snowing...
http://myrambouilletbuild.blogspot.com/2011/02/still-snowing.html
Bike building and other inconsequential stuff. Saturday, February 26, 2011. Ok, I'm still trying to figure out this iPad thing. I bought an iPad a month or so ago and I'm just now figuring out how to use it for blog editing. Mostly, I use it for Kindle book reading or game playing. That's not the reason why I haven't been posting lately.I'm just plain lazy. Excuses, excuses. Looking forward to celebrating my grandson's first birthday in a couple of weeks. How time flies! Bike 21: Developing a bike commute habit: May 2010
http://bike21.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 28, 2010. I think part of the reason cycling is so prevalent in places like Copenhagen and Amsterdam is that people don't think twice about riding a bike to get somewhere. They just get on their bikes and go without worrying about wearing proper "cycling attire." They just wear their regular clothes. And regular shoes. And some look damn stylish. Doing it, too. (Also, see this article. Credit: Flickr / Amsterdamize. Credit: family/ bike/ words. Posted by Juan Roman Magdaraog. Links to this po...

Bike 21: Developing a bike commute habit: January 2013
http://bike21.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 18, 2013. WellI rode in to work for the second time this year today! That's twice in three weeks. Considering how little I bike commuted in 2012, this is very promising. It helped that I left after 7 am today whereas the last time I tried to get the jump around 6:30 am (more sun! In case you're new to my blog and haven't read about the origin of the name Bike21, take a peek at the About page. I recently saw this article that tells a similar story to how I started bike commuting:. All in a...
