Tuesday, June 8, 2010. This is my last post. It seems the epp adventure has now become the epp maintenance and ordinary life. Which of course was the aim of this adventure! We moved home completely last Tuesday and are settling in to life in Brandon. Ed is getting his blood tests done this week in Brandon. Saturday, May 8, 2010. We are home.Brandon, that is. We came home to Brandon on Friday. Ed's ceatinine and BP have improved somewhat, so they cut us loose til Monday. Back to Winnipeg on Sunday eve. Thursday, May 6, 2010. Progress snagged.hopefully not uravelling. Well, the ultrasound did show something. Apparently the artery to the kidney is narrowing, possible due to scarring. As a result Ed's creatinine is creeping up (179) and his blood pressure as well. So, a kidney angiogram is scheduled for May 17. If necessary, angioplasty will be done at the same time. Sunday, May 16, 2010. We are still here.sorry it's been so long. Justin is home and both him and Ed have enjoyed the once in the lifetime experience of the Memorial Cup in Brandon. They have cheered at three games already before this short hiatus. Justin drove us to Winnipeg tonight. It was lovely to have another driver and to visit with him for a 2.5 hour drive. Monday, October 26, 2009. Keeping on keeping on. Just a quick hello today.nothing too new. Ed is off work now. No appointment with ear, nose and throat specialist yet. Sunday, October 18, 2009. I did say I would post once a week and I've already blown it. But, in terms of the ongoing kidney transplant adventure there isn't much new. Thursday, September 24, 2009. It just seemed easier to create a blog than to try to keep everyone updated with Ed's kidney adventure. After some 22 years of declining kidney function, it seems Ed's kidneys are ready to give up the fight.
