Mission, Purpose, Goals. EqX Board & Staff. Vaulting is a combination of dance and gymnastics on horseback. Commonly seen in equine circus acts, vaulting allows a student to not only learn to ride, but also perform. A specially-trained horse works in a circle on a lounge line while students perform compulsory routines and freestyle moves. Vaulting is both fun and challenging and definitely a different form of riding. Vaulting offers the following benefits :. Increasing body awareness and coordination.
