Barrie Is Licious: Silks
http://barrieliciousreviews.blogspot.com/2012/02/silks.html
Thursday, 2 February 2012. What better way to spend "Hump Day" than at an elegant upscale establishment overlooking the picturesque Horseshoe Valley; I wish! It was soooo dark that the only thing I could see was the reflection of myself drooling with anticipation. I must admit; the last time I had the opportunity to indulge at Silks was over ten years ago when I supervised the lounge/dining room. I was Spoiled! I ate like a Queen nightly : ) This would be the first time I was paying for a dinner.

Our Cottage, Brynmorwydd. The sound of the train whistling thru the forest reminds us of the beginnings of this beautiful cottage area, a treasure found along the Severn River. Boats cruise past the mouth of our Bay, on their way travelling between Big Chute and Swift Rapids Lock, maybe not fully aware of how this area became established. But how did all these quaint cottages on this quiet Bay come to be? With the Canadian Pacific Railway, that train whistle you hear through the forest! John G. Bolt.

Sweet Water: Savour Simcoe
http://murphyjenn78.blogspot.com/2010/09/savour-simcoe.html

And featuring the producers and purveyors here in Simcoe County. There's certainly no farm land left in the urban sprawl on the shores of Lake Ontario! Farm Fresh asked me to take some pictures of the food featured at the event. I pretty much jumped at the chance. And their partners Algonquin Angus Beef. Their d...
