Sunday, June 30, 2013. SLO children at play. We went to San Luis Obispo with Kyle, Cami, and Sydney. We hit the beach and you can see the kids had a great time. The temperature was over 100 degrees, so we stayed in the water and ate as much ice cream as possible. We tried some new flavors including motor oil (dark chocolate and kahlua) and Merlot raspberry truffle (just what it sounds like). I spent a lot of time trying to get all four kids in one picture. Casey, Maya, and 98 other kids got to meet Jeff Kinney, the author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. The girls wrote out their lists of questions in the car on the way there and each brought their copy of the book, a pad of paper, a pen, and my camera. I didn't get to meet him because it was NO PARENTS ALLOWED! Questions from Casey, Maya, and me:. How long does it take you to write a book?

Sunday, December 7, 2014. On the first night we slept at the Shifu Holiday Inn in Guangzhou. We woke up very early in the morning and were able to walk around town a bit before we headed to lunch to meet with Director Huang. We found ourselves in the wholesale natural Chinese medicine market and the pet market. Casey was impressed with all of the pets. They were pretty cute. Posted by Jamie and Eric.
