Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Well, it turns out this is now mostly a vacation blog. We feel the most guilty about not updating the blog when we are on holiday, apparently. Because here I am, as I have been so many times before, blogging in a hotel room. A quick four hour flight and we were by the beach. We came down with three of our coaches: Eric, Kevin and Connor. We have logged some time in the reclining chairs, hit the buffets and played a bit of volleyball. Or taken that long. Even she winced a bit.

Sunday, July 12, 2015. After a bunch of hard work and training, Finny's 2015 track season wrapped up with the Pentathlon in Chilliwack. We decided to make a family day of it. It's a big step in our family, seeing our oldest bird fly out of the elementary school nest. She's enjoyed some tremendous growth over the course of this academic year. And Rachoo, our Elf has returned with a flair. Christmas baking has begun, this year Gluten free. Despite no wheat flour, our treats bring glee! Mix together the dry ingredients and cut in butter until it is crumbly. Empty into 8 x 11 greased glass dish and pat down evenly with your fingers. 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar.

Upon arriving back in London for the afternoon, Google alerted Eric that the Lumiere Light Festival. Was starting that evening. My aunt had mentioned it previously but we assumed we would miss it. So, in between a lovely relaxing bottle of wine at Gordon’s Wine Bar. As for the play, we very much enjoyed it but found the Comedy About a Bank Robbery funnier overall.

Wednesday, October 17, 2007. Ljubljana and Lake Bled Slovenia. Sept 20: It was so nice to see this city during the day! We spent the afternoon at the castle and market. We hiked up to the top of the hill to check out the castle area, but it is currently used for receptions etc. We found many buckeyes (buckeye trees) up on this hill. GO BUCKS!
