Snapshots of a Modest Life
http://sleeprequired.blogspot.com/2004/09/just-stuff-today-has-been-blah-kind-of.html
Monday, September 13, 2004. From the Production Handbook. It was mostly about fire safety, what to do in case of a fire, stuff like that. Stay calm and run for your life was basically the gist of it. AND FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, WHY HAVEN'T I GONE TO THE POST OFFICE YET? MTV kept me company while I ate my lunch, then I went upstairs and took a nap before my. After that, everything has been "blah." And this has been my "blah" day. Buy a llama. September 15, 2004 at 11:56 AM. I'm not taking any grammar or syn...

Snapshots of a Modest Life: Summertime and the Living is Easy
http://sleeprequired.blogspot.com/2011/06/summertime-and-living-is-easy.html
Saturday, June 25, 2011. Summertime and the Living is Easy. But I'm worried that despite my good intentions, I will keep staying up way too late (it's only 2 AM, this is not late! And spending way too much time lying in bed doing, well, nothing. So I figured, maybe I should blog about it. Because nothing sucks more than getting to August and realizing I haven't really done anything with my summer other than play video games and sleep. Here's to a productive summer. Gateways: Service Learning...
http://poppleblog.blogspot.com/2007/10/service-learning.html
Wherever you go, preach the Gospel; and when necessary, use words. So, in about six weeks, I start teaching my first class - Service Learning at the Denver School of Science and Technology. Needless to say, I'm super excited about the possibilities. I was reading Ecclesiastes. Solomon seems to be asking the same thing. He toils and labors and works, but the reward is not always reachable. It isn't fair. The poor seem to know the feeling. Often, I get the idea that people can get out. If they would ju...

Wherever you go, preach the Gospel; and when necessary, use words. Awesome collage, Bret. He's going to be thankful to have all those pictures of himself when he is older. I hope you guys are doing well out in Denver. Sad news, the unicycle trip is canceled. The hospital bill is sucking me dry. Peace from the EAst. I can't believe he is 2 already. It seems like only yesterday that you guys told us you were pregnant. We love and miss you guys! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The critic and the victor.

Snapshots of a Modest Life
http://sleeprequired.blogspot.com/2005/03/heroes-idols-and-mentors-one-of-my.html
Wednesday, March 23, 2005. Heroes, Idols and Mentors. One of my roommates subscribes to Rolling Stone Magazine and leaves it in the bathroom for everyone's toilet reading. Garbage in, garbage out as they say. On the cover of the March issue is not a scantily clad songstress with bleached blond hair and an eating disorder; nor is it a platinum record selling band with a political agenda and a sour expression (question: why isn't anyone ever smiling on the cover of Rolling Stone? All of this brought me to ...

Snapshots of a Modest Life
http://sleeprequired.blogspot.com/2004/11/home-for-weekend-this-weekend-i-went.html
Sunday, November 07, 2004. Home for the Weekend. This weekend I went home for the first time since school started. It was a nice (if brief) vacation from the life which I lead in. A computer program which is meant to entertain one person at a time brings my brother and I closer together. How sweet. And Fiona Apple's Tidal. And listening to Aida. Yeah, I know, I'm a loser. But well, as previously stated, it's bonding time. Hey so what's up w/ putting down the female mind? November 8, 2004 at 2:52 PM.

Gateways: War Costs = $1.6 Trillion
http://poppleblog.blogspot.com/2007/11/war-costs-16-trillion.html
Wherever you go, preach the Gospel; and when necessary, use words. War Costs = $1.6 Trillion. WASHINGTON (CNN) - The total economic impact of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is estimated at $1.6 trillion by 2009, a congressional committee said in a report released Tuesday. A soldier with the 101st Airborne Division guards an oil refinery near Baiji, Iraq. The total war costs could grow to $3.5 trillion by 2017, the committee estimated. For every dollar we spend directly in Iraq, we're going to pay anoth...
