EXTREME METAL HEAD!!!: September 2004
http://extrememetal.blogspot.com/2004_09_01_archive.html
My reviews on CDs and Videos of the Heavy Metal Music World. Thursday, September 30, 2004. Nightwish - Wish I Had An Angel. The lead track off the upcoming Alone In The Dark movie soundtrack. Simple video that sees the band jamming in what looks like either a warehouse or somekind of tunnel entrace mixed in with clips from the movie. And the movie looks good from what was shown here! Video Rating: * *. Posted by Eric Extreme at 9/30/2004 01:58:00 PM. Video Rating: * *. Tuesday, September 28, 2004. This w...

Reviews of old and new PS2 and PC games. I'm not an expert, but I know what I like! Fight Night: Round 2. So after wathing the Contender finale the other night, and hearing this game get rave reviews, I decided to pick it up to try for myself. Will be interesting to try to create my own fighter and make a champion out of him in a rags to riches story like The Contender was. Full review coming soon. Posted by Eric Extreme at 5/27/2005 09:29:00 AM. Even a crippled old man in a wheel chair chases you faster...

Reviews of old and new PS2 and PC games. I'm not an expert, but I know what I like! Devil May Cry 3. Dante is back in his third PS2 adventure, and he brought his brother with him this time. Supposedly, this is the prequel to the other two DMC games (why are the hero’s always more powerful in the prequels? I’ll admit I never played the previous DMC games, but playing this alone warrants me to not want to play them if they are anything like this. I had high hopes for this one, but it just seemed to pal...

Reviews of old and new PS2 and PC games. I'm not an expert, but I know what I like! It’s not perfect, just like WWE is nowadays. The sixth installment of the PlayStation WWE games, and there’s a good history lesson during the game’s intro too. And if you’ve played any of the previous games, you pretty much know what to expect here: More of the same, with an updated roster and some gameplay tweaks. So it really makes no difference what your allegiance is, which is a big disappointment for me. There really...

Reviews of old and new PS2 and PC games. I'm not an expert, but I know what I like! For the life of me, I have NEVER understood why anyone thought the Mortal Kombat series was better than the Street Fighter series when the two were leading the console beat'em wars in the mid-'90s. So now the survivors of Onaga's holocaust are battling back to reclaim the Earth Realm. Instead, they just gave his moves to someone else which is kinda lame. All the characters now have two Fatality moves as opposed to Deadly ...

Reviews of old and new PS2 and PC games. I'm not an expert, but I know what I like! Rising Hell with DMC3! Devil May Cry 3 is finally out! This is easily one of the most anticipated games of the year. Like Onimusha 3, I'll admit I have never played the first 2 games in the series, but I'm still gonna jump straight into this one and hope it delivers just like Onimusha 3 did. Expect a review soon! Posted by Eric Extreme at 2/21/2005 02:41:00 PM. Tekken Nina Williams: Death By Degrees. And lets not forget t...

Reviews of old and new PS2 and PC games. I'm not an expert, but I know what I like! Something to sink your teeth into. The original game was set in Nazi war-time Germany. This time around, Rayne is in modern times and looking just as good as she shoots and slashes her way through the hordes of the night. She also has a host of athletic abilities like climbing poles, and sliding down them upside down and shot at the same time! May not be original, but looks good anyways. The audio goes from silent to heav...

Reviews of old and new PS2 and PC games. I'm not an expert, but I know what I like! Where do I begin with this one? The Samurai Spirits (or Samurai Showdown in the US) series is one of the longest running figthing game franchises in recent times, and is credited as the first one on one beat 'em where all the characters use weapons. The CPU controlled opponnents can also be very difficult to beat, and sometimes you get the feeling the game is cheating because they can kill you off with those 3 strikes, ye...

Reviews of old and new PS2 and PC games. I'm not an expert, but I know what I like! The zany Outlaw cast are back in their second run at the rich-man’s sport of golf! Basically, about everyone from the original as well as Outlaw Beach Volleyball have been brought back here to duke it out on the links in a wide range of bizarre golf locations to test your skills with a 9-Iron. If there was ever a game based on the Adam Sandler golf movie, Happy Gilmore, THIS would be it! The characters all have been given...
