Thursday, January 23, 2014. First Bump is a doozy. I am sorry to have to report that Eric's cancer has returned and is now leukemia. I am also sorry to have to write such a long blog, but a lot has happened in a short time and I feel that I need to recount it all. Feel free to skim this as there is not a quiz at the end. Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Clinic visits were very quick so they could move a week's worth of patients through in just a couple of days. Eric just donated a few vials of blood and we were able to leave. Thirty minutes later, through the magic of the internet, we were able to see his lab results. His hematocrit is 28.9! Normal is 41-53, so 28.9 may not seem like much. But since Eric's has been hovering around 26 and 27 for weeks, this is great news! Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Pretty Exciting Stuff Today!

Last Wednesday we met with the doctor at the Bone Marrow Transplant clinic and found out that Eric's cancer had returned and was now Leukemia and terminal. Wednesday, April 30, 2014. I should be studying, but I'm too excited about the flooring. The LVT and carpet in the basement are in! We love the way they look. The basement is getting so close to being finished. Bickmore Carpets. First up: the new bathroom light fixture that Paul installed so well. I love it. It gets very bright. After: we are very excited with this stuff since it should be pretty indestructible. It looks just like wood. After: the carpet turned out looking so good with the paint color.

Wednesday, October 30, 2013. It turned out exactly how I wanted, and I am so happy to see this beloved piece of furniture looking beautiful again. Plus, it only took me two days! Sometimes I let projects drag out, but I was pretty motivated by oncoming cold weather. After a couple hours of sanding:. I stained it with Minwax gel stain in aged oak color. Used Minwax Wipe-on Poly in clear satin for a top coat. Then spray painted the hardware in oil rubbed bronze by Rustoleum. One last before and after!
