They are knows for a few different things we did see (caves and sequoia trees) and somethings we didn't see (jumping frogs. Our first stop was at California Caverns. There are a few different caves to explore in the area but California Caverns is by far my favorite. We started with a half-mile walk to the cave exit. We knew today was set to be another scorcher at 93 before 10:00AM and a high of 108 for the day. But our plan for today was to show off what happens on a normal day in the lives of my parents. Sunday, July 7, 2013. Day Nine: July 4, 2013. The next day we packed back into the car and headed out East. We've been doing a good amount of traveling to the coast but this was our first real move inland. We drove for a little over and hour to Sly Park. Sly Park in the winter is a ski area and in the summer it's a lake that attracts campers. The closest hoops we determined were at Woodside Elementary School (the school I went to K-6th grade). First off, I am just wrapping up my first year as a site administrator in Akiuk and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Monday, August 11, 2008. Road Trip: Day Five (goodbye hole, hello Gutierrez). July 19th we left the Grand Canyon area and drove to New Mexico. It was time to drop off my three nieces with my sister (and brother in law) and end the summer romance for two of them. We would become a much smaller party of eight soon.
