82nd in Texas: April 2011

Monday, April 4, 2011. Legislature’s Budget has serious problems. Because the most frightening of the implications of the choices the legislature has made seem to be education, I’d like to focus on that issue. There are plenty of other considerations, however. Many state agencies and state workers are going to see losses and job cuts. Health care in particular will see a huge loss in funding. Sunday night, the. House of Representatives Voted to pass House Bill 1. With $7.8 Billion in cuts. Generally this...

Sunday, April 17, 2011. Re:Paying Criminals for their Crimes. Erika De Los Santos. Mother used to always tell me not to touch the iron. One day I was able to reach it. I will never touch it again. We must burn our hand in order to learn. And these young criminals will never feel the burn if we continue placing handicaps for them. Other than that, I like what I've read. I look forward to reading the next original editorial. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Round Rock, Tx, United States.

http://greaterpoliticsintexas.blogspot.com/2011/05/mortorcyclists-and-safety.html
Greater Politics In Texas. Monday, May 2, 2011. May is the month that Texas takes time to promote motorcycle safety. This is not to say that Texas doesn’t promote motorcycle safety all year! It is very important for those who do not know about motorcycle safety to understand the risks associated with driving on the road with motorcyclists. How many people know of someone or even better knew someone with a motorcycle? May 13, 2011 at 8:39 PM. Re: Motorcyclist and Safety. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A cup of Texas tea: Texas decides things may be too slow of pace
http://essaysee.blogspot.com/2011/05/texas-decides-things-may-be-too-slow-of.html
A cup of Texas tea. Monday, May 2, 2011. Texas decides things may be too slow of pace. A bill was introduced in early April proposing some speed limits across the state of Texas to be raised to 80-85 miles per hour. House Bill 1353 doesn’t actually state that the speed limits would be raised to speeds in excess of 75 miles per hour, but what it does say is that many roads once deemed fit by studies, would be raised to 75 and perhaps even further. When can truckers speed back up to 70 in the morning?

Blue Texas: April 2011

Monday, April 18, 2011. Rewarding Criminals for Crime. After reading Erika’s blog entitled “Paying Criminals For Their Crimes,”. I would also have to agree with her. It’s absolutely ridiculous that these youth offenders are being compensated for work. It’s almost as if they are being rewarded for committing crime. We don’t pay adults in prisons for work, so you kind of have to wonder why on earth would we do not do the same for youth offenders. How are they any different? Monday, April 4, 2011. It honest...

Monday, February 28, 2011. The Neo-Keynesian Messes with Texas. Normally when I do these blog blurbs I attempt to find a bad argument that presents a delicious morsel for picking to pieces and then proceed to chew on the intellectually soft meat. . Today I don’t feel inclined to do that. . It’s hard as hell to find decent commentary on. And even harder (at least for me thus far) to find bad commentary. . It’s almost as if conservatives run. Not that conservatives alone make bad arguments.). Krugman st...
