Thursday, May 29, 2008. The honey moon part of the trip has worn off. When I look at Quillabamba I see many thousands of people without much future. What opportunities lay here for people? Perhaps to work as a street vendor, a baker or a teacher. I wonder if there is any sense of urgency in these people about the future. Perhaps their culture is the opposite of ours, not needing to have a plan or a career. This is something that I will start talking to people about. So, the market and this park in front ...

Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Machu Picchu, Coca-Cola, and my Life in General. Time here is flying! All I will say now is that we can only drink bottled water here and the water is owned by Coca-Cola. It makes me sick to think that I am handing over money for a natural ressource. Maybe it would be different if the money was going into the hands of Peruvians. But its not. So, take care! This is all adding up to be an experience like none other huh? We love you and can't wait until you're back safe and sound.
