Join me as I chronicle the joys and trials of my newfound sewing and knitting hobbies! Making My Wardrobe Work. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Quasi Fails: Finished: Vogue 8805 and WIP: Butterick 6183. Why it took me 2 weeks to finish this dress, I don't know. And when I took these pictures, I wanted to wear it immediately! I lengthened this one a tiny bit compared to the last one:. I like the first one better. Way better. See how not good I am at color blocking on my own! I sewed it as before but decided to ...

karen's fiber musings: Knits Class
http://krncpa.blogspot.com/2012/02/knits-class.html
My ramblings about fiber stuff as I attempt to improve my skills. Sunday, February 19, 2012. By Pamela's Patterns. I recommend the pattern - it has 2 versions - darted and non-darted. Those of us who are more endowed on top will benefit from the dart. I have one more adjustment to make to the dart placement and then I will have a T-shirt that actually fits me! The pattern comes with 3 different neck lines and different sleeve lengths - my first TNT pattern! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hot Pattern...

My ramblings about fiber stuff as I attempt to improve my skills. Sunday, February 20, 2011. Thanks to Kate and Cassie for their very helpful comments on muslin #2. I think I have figured this out. I made a new front today. I added the "dart" to the side per Kate's instructions to give my front side more width - it worked! I'm going to mark up my muslin, copy to the pattern and then match it up with the skirt! I really suck at Blogger, so all my pics are at the end. Labels: Crepe dress muslin. Well I'm N...

this, that, the other thing.: Completed: Floral Archer Popover, in a Knit!
http://www.staciechadwick.com/2015/05/completed-floral-archer-popover-in-knit.html
Monday, May 18, 2015. Completed: Floral Archer Popover, in a Knit! I made Western Shirt for ManFriend. And then all the sudden my head exploded about shirt making and how awesome it is. I like the idea of the popover style, because you get the fanciness of a button up, but the safety of a shirt that isn’t buttons all the way down. I got this floral cotton knit in a KnitFix shipment from GirlCharlee, and it screamed archer to me. I used Pam Erny’s two piece sleeve placket. I used white pearl snaps instead...
