Erika’s story… →. March 10, 2014. Well, here it goes. my very first “blog post”. I feel like often times I am very misunderstood, so I’ve created ERIKA’S ECLECTIC ESCAPE as a place for me, Erika, to escape to. 😉 (Clever, I know.). I have been training dogs since I was 8 years old. I've been told I am a natural and that it's in my genes. Come to find out, it. Actually in my ancestory. My early Native American ancestors would train dogs and then trade them for food and supplies. I was in 4-H Dog for 6 years where I qualified for State 3 years in a row and I won Overall Grand Champion 3 years in a row. During my last 3 years of 4H Dog, I took over as Junior Leader working with the other kids on training their dogs.
