er-h: Camera Setting
http://er-h.blogspot.com/2013/05/camera-setting.html
Thursday, May 9, 2013. This drawing is one of a series of Settings. The title is fun. I would take assorted objects and arrange them as if they were a place setting at a table, as if I was preparing to eat them. Delicious. This drawing appeared in The Believer. Friday, November 30, 2012. And finally, Smaug. And now for something completely different. Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Bilbo Baggins of the Shire. Smaug is next! Monday, November 26, 2012. Gollum. I think I might have one more in me tonight. Who's ready for the Hobbit to come out in theaters? Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Did this to accompany the other portrait I did last week. Sunday, November 4, 2012. I really like this one! Finished it last night. Yay extra hour! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Dreadful: My Neighbor Totoro
http://smallcurd.blogspot.com/2013/05/my-neighbor-totoro.html
Tuesday, May 28, 2013. I think I'm eventually gonna do a piece of fan art for all the Miyazaki films. I have some cool projects that I'll hopefully be able to show soon, too! Philip A. Buck. This is completely wonderful! Charming, fun, and it captures the feel of the movie marvelously. May 28, 2013 at 5:40 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Yep I like art. View my complete profile. er-h: Fiction Illustration in the New Yorker
http://er-h.blogspot.com/2013/05/fiction-illustration-in-new-yorker.html
Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Fiction Illustration in the New Yorker. I got a call from Awan Jordan, an illustration editor at the New Yorker, who wanted me to illustrate a story for an upcoming issue. The story (The Fragments by Joshua Ferris). The first idea was to create a palimpsest of overlapping handwritten fragments, which I did several different ways. I liked the effect, but it seemed more like overlapping dialogue, like in an Altman movie, rather than a series of discrete fragments of private talk.

Wednesday, May 1, 2013. I've had this sitting around for a while now, and I finally had a chance to finish it last night. Kinda turned into a bastardized version of The Little Mermaid, but what-eves, I still like it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Yep I like art. View my complete profile. Erik B. Krenz.

er-h: Freudian
http://er-h.blogspot.com/2013/05/freudian.html
Monday, May 6, 2013. In honor of Freud's birthday, here is a painting of Freud and Jung kissing. Freud appears 13 times in my book. When he saw his mother naked. When he got his famous couch. When he started collecting totems. His attempt to stop smoking. A list of who he got birthday cards from when he turned 80. An altogether interesting life. Labels: A Book of Ages. Dreadful: March 2013
http://smallcurd.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 21, 2013. I've been working on a piece for an upcoming art show for Light Grey Art Lab. Can't show it to you guys yet! But I had some extra time last night, so I painted this! I only kinda remember "The Little Prince" form when I was a kid, and mostly from the cartoon in the 80's. But I recently picked it up and read it again, and I was kinda surprised at how good and philosophical it was! Anyways, just wanted to do a little fan art piece from it! Monday, March 11, 2013. Yep I like art.
