I am not really a blogger, but this seemed like a convenient enough way to share my experiences. Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Maybe it’s packing my life into 2 suitcases and only managing to bring clothes, or that I turned saying goodbye to my family into the parade of tears, maybe it is sitting alone in a whole new country trying to sort out a whole new daily life, but I have been feeling very reflective lately. erinelizabethhansen: Day Nine

http://www.erinelizabethhansen.blogspot.com/2013/08/day-nine.html

I am not really a blogger, but this seemed like a convenient enough way to share my experiences. Thursday, August 8, 2013. Today was a lot of fun, but unfortunately I took zero pictures. We stayed at a fun hotel in Chorley last night after the pageant, so this morning we swam for awhile before checking out. Then today consisted of a lot of driving and shopping. Then we had excellent Chinese food with Simon's parents. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

I am not really a blogger, but this seemed like a convenient enough way to share my experiences. Sunday, October 14, 2012. I am leaving for South Africa on October 31, and I have decided to blog my trip. I hope someone enjoys reading this, but it is also for my own benefit as a record. Thus I have decided to do some pre-trip blogging to help me get back in the habit of posting, as well as to keep track of my preperations. Thursday, October 11, 2012. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). erinelizabethhansen: Day Ten/Eleven

http://www.erinelizabethhansen.blogspot.com/2013/08/day-teneleven.html

I am not really a blogger, but this seemed like a convenient enough way to share my experiences. Saturday, August 10, 2013. Today Kaytie and headed back to Old Town; we checked out Fringe again, saw another show and watched a bunch of incredible street performers. We also did a bit more shopping. Here is Kaytie reading the map so that we can find our venue. The wind here makes trying to take a picture difficult. Everything here was amazing! August 16, 2013 at 11:24 AM. I love that lady who was ticked rig...

I am not really a blogger, but this seemed like a convenient enough way to share my experiences. Wednesday, August 26, 2015. On Friday I managed to. Over the next few days we went to the beach, and then we had fish and chips. While we were wandering around the harbour we ran into a real fisherman who was bringing in his catch, and he showed us all of the crabs and lobsters. It was neat. We went to Blacketyside Farm and bought a lot of delicious berries, like a lot. They were amazing. Maybe it’s pac...

I am not really a blogger, but this seemed like a convenient enough way to share my experiences. Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Sometimes I Already Miss It Here. All of the sudden leaving sounds like a terrible idea. Never again will I be able to recreate this atmosphere or opportunity. The time limit on the BYU. Experience is an important part of its charm, but still this place is crazy and amazing. Sometimes I forget to really appreciate the moments. Friday, October 14, 2011. I Don't Get It. Letters from the Earth: Bane Of My Existance

http://rachelbarnard.blogspot.com/2010/04/bane-of-my-existance.html

Bane Of My Existance. The Aristocrat Pear has plagued me since childhood. The effervescent blooms would fill the playground at Montevideo with the most disgusting scent. In middle school, the putrid smell made it difficult to eat my lunch. At Cal, the pool parking lot was stuffed full of these rankly scented fiends, and you could smell them 200 yards away. April 17, 2010 at 9:52 PM. Seriously. Who likes the smell of feet? April 18, 2010 at 2:05 AM. Its too bad a pretty blossom smells terribly.

Riley and Kallie Sabey: September 2012

http://rksabey.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Riley and Kallie Sabey. He stole my heart, so I stole his last name! Tuesday, September 4, 2012. My sister Jamie Lacefield took Naylor's newborn pictures and we absolutely love them, we made a birth announcement with them and I will post that as well. Thanks Jamie, we absolutely love them, and love this little boy. This is some of the boys working on pouring the footings for the new barn that they are building on the Cook farm. Our little family on top of Bear's Hump, it sure was windy up there. This is ...

Letters from the Earth: Old House, New House

http://rachelbarnard.blogspot.com/2012/05/old-house-new-house.html

Old House, New House. I was going to write a terribly clever ditty about my new apartment. Something a la. But then I realized that I was too lazy to do such. Yes we moved. Yes we're still in Provo. And yes I now have church until the early evening. May 8, 2012 at 9:44 PM. Oh how I wish you would have written a clever ditty! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Riley and Kallie Sabey. He stole my heart, so I stole his last name! Sunday, July 31, 2011. View from the Top. Me and Riley going to the other peak, so much fun, and it felt so good up there with the wind blowing on you, and looking at Willard Bay below. This is one of the view's from the top, this looks over Ogden City. Lots of houses down there. This is the other part of the city, you can see I-15 down there and the Great Salt Lake in the distance. Pretty sweet looking! Friday, July 22, 2011. Riley is ...

Riley and Kallie Sabey. He stole my heart, so I stole his last name! Saturday, October 29, 2011. I LOVE THESE SHOES! I can stand for 12 hours and walk and my feet don't hurt at all! It was such a difference. And everyone says that they have had them for so long, like years. No more having to buy shoes every year! So I will save money in the long run. So for anyone who has to stand for a long time (teachers, doctors, check out people, nurses, or anybody else) I recommend these shoes! More Spot the Hunter!

Life in a Pita

Life in a Pita. Wednesday, March 14, 2012. A little more turkey. Haggia Sophia was one of the coolest places I have ever been. I am obsessed with Istanbul. The library in Ephasus. What was that one place we went that had lots of pillars and antiquities and we took pictures jumping off of them? Oh yeah, that was pretty much everywhere we went. But this one is Pergamum. The beautiful Lake of Nicea. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. First days in Turkey. Beautiful SJ and I in front of the Blue Mosque. Just on a camel...

On conversation, difficulty and boundaries in poetics. November 19, 2012. The following is a statement I wrote in advance of participating in the Boundless Poetics colloquium. About contemporary poetry/poetics at Berkeley this past Friday. I was a part of a panel whose subject was “difficulty”]. But then, what are we doing when we do poetics as defined in pt 1a of the OED entry? If a poem is thought of in terms of conversation, who are the interlocutors? If all of us in this room have read the same poem,...
