Thursday, March 28, 2013. The next day we got up early and went up to Tacoma and met Aunt Colette and Cousin Tyler at the Pt. Defiance Zoo. This was Stirling and Logan's first ever trip to a zoo. I think they enjoyed it? After the zoo, we ended up going to the playground where Logan did the slide over and over and over; he was so smiley and proud of himself. Monday, May 26, 2014. I can't believe I have a six year old! He is growing up so quickly and I am just amazed by what a neat kid he is becoming. Stirling has been enjoying karate these past few months and is really into Legos right now. He is amazingly good at building complicated designs by following even more complicated directions. Sunday, April 28, 2013. Stirling got his first bike today- thanks Grandma and Grandpa! He was so excited! He hopped right on and began riding which was amazing because Stirling can sometimes be a bit of a pessimist and often says he can't do something or doesn't want to. Saturday, February 23, 2013. Stirling recently started playing basketball with the parks and rec department here in town. The "Tiny Tots" age group is 3 to 5 and these kids are pretty funny. They have so little coordination! There are basketballs rolling all over the elementary school gym and kids running into each other. Sunday, July 27, 2014. A while back, I was able to get a large tote full of fabric scraps and remnants for only $5. The children's museum here in town closed down, and they had a huge sale to get rid of everything. I got the fabric and a bunch of other great stuff for home and my classroom. Sunday, January 18, 2015. In October, RJ and I traveled to Scotland for the wedding of a friend that RJ made while living there. Monday, May 26, 2014. Recently, RJ and I decided that the boys finally needed seperate bedrooms. Logan had been getting up out of bed at bedtime multiple times every night. He is really good at coming up with reasons to not go to bed. a drink of water, his music box isn't working, he needs a hug, he can't find his truck, he needs two more trucks. etc! Thursday, December 19, 2013. Stirling learned how to ride a bike without training wheels. Before it got too cold, we found some time for a nearby playground and the dirt pile around the corner!
