Sunday, 16 August 2015. Late getting up. Set out after coffee. Stopped for lunch after the third lock. Theo worked locks and bridges, and did some steering. Met Peter and Stephanie on NB Maggie May. Tied up just before the Aireville Park bridge, which was ideal for the children. 51 miles, 3 locks, 4 swing bridges, 6 engine hours. Saturday, 15 August 2015. Got back early afternoon, so went down to the recreation area by the the River Aire and had a very good time chilling. Watched The Railway Children.

Wednesday, 5 August 2015. Less windy than yesterday, and it was time to go. Water in Skipton first thing. Generally fine until the evening – just a few spots through the day. Pump-out (£15 with blue) at Silsden Boats – friendly bunch and a better P/O than at Pennine. Bottle of gas for standard price (£26.25). Helped German family through a swing bridge when parents got caught on the wrong side. 7 miles, 0 locks, 10 swing bridges (2 permanently open), 4.5 engine hours. Main Erin Mae Blog.

Saturday, 15 August 2015. Did a circular walk out from Gargrave along the Pennine Way south for a bit, then cut across to the Bank Newton locks, and back along the towpath. Fine day with some sun. Monday, 3 August 2015. From the Grassington bus last Tuesday we'd caught a view of Aireville Park – a big recreational area in Skipton. It struck us as a pleasant place to spend an afternoon when the grandchildren are with us next week. So today we went to have a look. Monday, 24 November 2014. Erin Mae is insured with GJW Direct – we had a recommendation when we bought her. Comprehensive cover, with one or two extras, for peace of mind. Year's quotation. I'm sure Haven are good, and if ever GJW can't match I'll be happy to transfer. But no point in moving if both product and price are pretty much the same. Friday, 31 July 2015. We were sneaky this morning – stole off our mooring very early to fill up at the water point and reverse back to the same place – we want to be tied up there over the weekend. Thursday, 6 August 2015. It was a day for the boots to come out. First time for mine this season. Not so for my best beloved's. However, the last time she wore them was on our walk last week from Malham to Gargave when they got saturated with liquid manure. No amount of scrubbing removed the pong, so finally, on our run down to Silsden yesterday, they followed my trainers into the washing machine.
