Sunday, August 30, 2009. The kids went back to school this week! I can't believe the summer is "over". Last week I took their "school pictures". I usually only buy their class pictures. Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Die Deutsche Diary - All the other days. Checkpoint Charlie, the Allied Forces checkpoint for crossing back and forth between East and West Berlin between 1945 and 1989. I know it's hard to see, but this is a picture of an aerial shot of Berlin just after the end of WWII. The city was 70% destroyed. I know, I know. It's crass.
