January 15, 2016. Photography and text by Abby Greenawalt and Erin Scott. If he was stranded on a desert island with only a Swiss army knife and a few Richard Simmons videos for motivation, DC’s James Kerns would not just survive; he would build a jungle dream house. His use of common items is as inventive as MacGyver. 8216;s, while his methods are as thoughtful as a Buddhist monk’s. James Kerns’ website is www.corehaus.com. How did you start creating things? How do you decide what materials to use?

Friday, January 30, 2009. Songsmith Sings the Classics. As you might have seen on Jared. In celebration of the program's release, people have putting the vocal tracks from many popular songs into the program, with often humorous results. Check out some of my favorites below:. Roxanne by The Police. Buddy Holly by Weezer. And of course Barack Obama. Surely you're impressed by this. Songsmith Sings the Classics. Thursday, January 29, 2009. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Cate Raff: Spain So Far
http://cateraff.blogspot.com/2011/04/spain-so-far.html
Sunday, April 24, 2011. Near the piso I'm staying at. I love how many sweet old people there are in this city! On the way to a farm an hour from Madrid in a town called Villa del Prado. One of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen in a while. Another reason to love Madrid: dulces. Been wanting to order Meringues but, between the two, still just can't say no to Napolitanas. Neither could the cashier that day. La Teteria de mi Abuela- one of Biz and my favorite places in Madrid! So happy for you! Majored in...

Tuesday, August 23, 2011. A hint of fall in the air this morning. Pretty shadows in Sweden. Last night I got to celebrate my birthday (picnic! With dearly beloved Greenville friends (and family). I do have some of the coolest, smartest, sweetest, warmest, most inspiring friends in the world. So thankful for them, the outdoors, picnic food (Euro style), and lovely lighting. It felt SO GOOD outside last night! A little warm, humid- like one of the last summer nights of the year. Fjord country. wow. To Oslo...

Erin Scott Photography – Washington, DC. Meet Erin, a Nikon user who specializes in portraits and weddings. She shoots with her left eye but is trying to learn using her right eye so that her nose doesn’t get in the way:) She shoots in RAW using manual mode. She loves Kubota’s Magic Sharp Action most. Describe the moment you decided it was time to pursue this as a career? I like to think it meant that I was an awesome photographer and not a terrible writer! 24mm, 100iso, 1/1600, f/2.8. I have photos (pro...

Cate Raff: November 2010
http://cateraff.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 04, 2010. Some of the girls at the orphanage. All total sweethearts, each with a different, very gripping story. I am confounded by how quickly time flies in this laid-back, "Raff-time," "pick you up at ten-ISH," country. Really, the last week- I don't know where it went. Which is probably why I'm only now getting around to writing about my incredible time in the bonito, amable, complicado country of Nicaragua. I am learning a ton of Spanish here! Sunday, September 05, 2010. Qualitative, not quantitative. Birthday party picnic at rock quarry garden. In Asheville with Leah and Carrie. We may or may not have made an Urban Outfitters detour immediately preceding the taking of this photo. :). At the French Broad Chocolate Lounge in Ash-vegas before seeing Mates of State. Events from the last couple of weeks:. I turned 26. I can now check the "26 to 30" bracket when subscribing for things like Table 301 newsletters. Dangit. :). It's hard to get a new j...

Thursday, May 12, 2011. Bastante Guisantes (so many peas! I kind of feel like I've been living the charmed life lately here on the Mediterranean. Southern Spain is really, really beautiful- I love the warm climate. I've been biking to closeby whitewashed pueblos and to Nerja a few times, picking avocados, strawberries, lemons (my new favorite smell- fresh lemons off the tree! Nisporos (never seen them in the US), and green beans, weeding/thinning out rows of carrots, wearing a genuine sombrero! That I'd ...
