Living life to the fullest, on Hopewell Acre Farms. Home-made Bread.enough said! My husband grew up in Europe. Bread there is fresh, full of variety, and usually purchased daily according to his memory of home. Here in America we have shelves of bread that we may never know when it was baked. If we buy bread at the store, it is from the bakery department and usually is the fresher "French Bread". It is gobbled down and rarely makes it to supper time. Or find them on Facebook. Easy Homemade French Bread.

Living life to the fullest, on Hopewell Acre Farms. A lot has changed in a year. More chicks.every trip to the farm store. We started with an idea, a dream to have some chickens. We finally had some land, and could not resist the chicks at the farm store. With 15 little fluff balls we went home, found a large leftover moving box, and they started to grow. The first babies taking a field trip outside. The five Rhode Island Reds as chicks outside for our daughters birthday party. With Tootsie the Guinea Pig.

Hope-Love-Eggs: Bonfire Starters

Living life to the fullest, on Hopewell Acre Farms. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. So I get on Pinterest every so often, pin a ton of ideas, and try very few. This one though I am so pleased with I am now telling everyone about it! Cardboard egg cartons, the older the better-save them from the recycling. Old candles or leftover wax. Dryer lint-this adds up quickly. An old double boiler - or I used a large old pot with a missing handle, and a smaller pot that used to be part of a double boiler. View my complet...

This large brown patch now has fast growing seedlings everywhere! So at th...

Living life to the fullest, on Hopewell Acre Farms. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Do you think we have enough garden this year? 65279;. He just kept tilling more and more :). We started off with many many pots, mostly with popsicle stick to remember what we planted. The puppy stole most of the sticks, I guess we are in for some surprises! Ready for transplanting to paper pots. Some plants we started, and some indoor plants I am not always good at keeping alive through winter. So part of our...

Hope-Love-Eggs: February 2015
http://hopewellacrefarms.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Living life to the fullest, on Hopewell Acre Farms. Friday, February 27, 2015. Chickens need fresh water all day long! At night they are in the coop and sleeping, unless the bitter cold makes us move food and water in, they just sleep at night. When it is so cold, how do we keep the water from freezing? A day without snow, so free ranging was a must! We have an extension cord from the outside plug by the house that reaches out to the coop. Then the heat cord is hooked up and we have water! It is quite fu...
