Friday, February 27, 2009. Just having a play with the camera. In 6 days . guess how many photos I've taken? OK so now I've said that you're thinking BIG numbers right? So I've totally ruined the shock. Out of all of those there is about 20 I like. And most likely in 5 years time, this will be wittled down to possibly 1 or 2 and a "what the hell where you thinking posting these up here? The first three are all Mummy shots. Sunday, March 8, 2009. A Day on The Beach. Remind me that while shooting in the sun and then in the shade to adjust my settings! I met up with a friend last week so we could take photos of each others kids and well . I learned a lot about lighting and exposure, so it was a great experience and practise! I think I still did get some good shots though. Here are some faves:. It's all a big learning curve and I am very excited to find out things I'm doing wrong and then KNOWING how to make them right!

Monday, March 30, 2009. I have a new blog. See my new space here at. Http:/ djbphotography.wordpress.com/. At the moment, it just has the same entries as in this one. But will be updated regularly. I have my first client booked for Thursday . (first client that I have not begged to let me take photos for them anyway! The first "real" client) YAY! Wednesday, March 25, 2009. When I decided I wanted to start my own photography business, I rounded up my pregnant cousin, Kellie, and asked her if I could practise on her. She willingly obliged and we had a lot of fun. She was very relaxed and co-operative and even made some suggestions of her own! Here are some of my favourite shots from the day . Tuesday, March 3, 2009. I had my very first portfolio building photo session two days ago. I had high hopes for myself! It didn't really go as I had hoped. The poor little thing HATED being naked and was restless from the get go. After he was asleep I managed a few sneaky shots. But am going to try and re-shoot again in the next couple of days.
