Tu me berces inconsciemment. Dans ta région étonnamment. Tu me déplaces dans tes vagues. Yer waves pour moi étrangement. Tu me dépèces et tu me prends. Yer waves pour moi et lentement. Je voudrais m’envoler. Avec toi pour la mer. C’est peut-être trop tôt. Pour le soleil d’hiver. C’est l’histoire qui s’endort. Et pour le soleil d’hiver. Yer waves for me. Mes vagues pour toi. My waves for you. Et pour la nuit infidèle. Yer waves for me. Et pour la lune endormie. My waves for you. Nous expliquons nos torts.

The letter M, wasted on the ground of life. Your interpretation counts. You have freedom over the meaning of this shot. Vous avez carte blanche. Personnellement, j'aime le contraste de la nature foncée et du plastique clair et agressant, violent dans son immuabilité. Parc Pierre-Marquette, Rosemont-Petite-Patrie. Montreal: In view: L'ombre et la lumière
http://montrealinview.blogspot.com/2009/02/lombre-et-la-lumiere.html
L'ombre et la lumière. Between shadow and light, there's a whole story that can be told, more often than not found by accident. You walk in a park, and then you find yourself surrounded by shadow, even though everything around is still flooded by street lights. Then you take a shot, without moving, hiding in the dark. Cet arbre, par un jeu d'ombre et de lumière, réussissait à étendre l'emprise de la nuit sur l'espace lumineux et verdoyant, protecteur de son royaume envahi par notre peur de la noirceur.

Montreal: In view: The Lamp Post
http://montrealinview.blogspot.com/2009/03/lamp-post.html
This one was not taken in Montreal. It dates back a couple of years ago, in the middle of a holiday resort somewhere in Quebec. It was just after the sun was set and that lamp post was there, all alone. Sometimes, a simple object can create interesting shadows, can show different shapes, as long as we take the time to look at it, to appreciate it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Montreal: In view: The Canada Malt Plant
http://montrealinview.blogspot.com/2008/09/canada-malt-plant.html
The Canada Malt Plant. A massive, abandonned, tetris-like building, found near the Lachine Canal. This place is a perfect place for intrepid urban explorers. But a scary one nonetheless. I would never go inside one of those buildings, just in case they decide to collapse and/or something alive in it wouldn't want me to be there. Alive. http://montrealinview.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
La mairie de Westmount. While driving, we saw this old castle/manor/city hall. It was freezing cold outside, so we parked on a nearby street and took 5 minutes to shoot a couple of pictures of the buildings around, without a tripod, hence the high ISO and noise. I like this shot, in part because of that "Diablo" look, but also because the white balance setting was completely off yet the colors turned out great. Rue Sherbrooke, Westmount. Links to this post.
