Thursday, September 23, 2010. Queenstown, New Zealand. Over the next few months I will be posting new image galleries from the trip and will keep you up to date with stories from my travels here on the blog. For now though, I'll leave you with a couple of images taken, all the way from the kitchen and balcony of the house in which I'm staying. The image above is featured on the brand new Adventure Travel Magazine website as Picture of the Week. Click here to visit the website. Images by Escape Images.

Monday, March 22, 2010. Was nice to be included in the Guardian's Signs of spring 2010 feature which includes an online gallery and two page spread in the newspaper. Spring must certainly be on the way as it is currently chucking it down outside! Not long now before I'm back in the sun. Tuesday, March 02, 2010. What are you on about? Escape Images Blog - World Travel Photography: April 2009
http://escapeimages.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 27, 2009. The city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. What can I say after a long weekend of sunshine, windmills, tulips, long walks along canal banks and boat rides through the heart of the Netherlands' largest city? Tulips really are everywhere in Holland, which is just as well. Unable to witness the stunning tulip fields of the dutch countryside, I had to compromise. Amsterdam's parks and gardens? No, Schipol airport in fact! Saturday, April 25, 2009. Scheveningen, The Netherlands. We stayed...

GlobeFest: February 2010
http://globefest.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 16 February 2010. A taste of South East Asia. This is just teasing us! I recently found this video treat while browsing some travel blogs. If South East Asia is anything like this then I'm sure we're going to love it! Created by Ivan Vania and featuring the music of Yann Tiersen, the video shows the sights of Thailand Cambodia and Vietnam. Excellent work by Ivan - it just makes you want to get on a plane and go explore. A journey through asia. Tuesday, 2 February 2010. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

GlobeFest: Kyoto to Osaka
http://globefest.blogspot.com/2010/06/kyoto-to-osaka.html
Monday, 7 June 2010. Ok, first of all we apologise for the lack of blog updates. The travels are proving to be way too much fun and busy to sit in front of a computer screen. China also presented some problems with their ban on the blogger website. We're in the south of Thailand at the moment and have a little time for some updates so here we go, continuing our journey where we left off in Japan. The main reason for our visit to Osaka was to catch up with our friend Makoto. It was great to see her an...
GlobeFest: Completing the loop - Kyoto to Tokyo
http://globefest.blogspot.com/2010/06/completing-loop-kyoto-to-tokyo.html
Wednesday, 9 June 2010. Completing the loop - Kyoto to Tokyo. After our last stay in Kyoto we made the decision that we definitely had to return on our way back to Tokyo. The city has so much to see and is a firm favourite from our travels so far. Coming back allowed us to explore some more of its many temples and shrines as well as having a proper chance to hit the town and check out the city's night life centre. Ivan, Tomas, Shad, Katrina and Patrick at Tomato Hostel, Kyoto. So long for now Nippon.

Sunday, 13 June 2010. Culture shock in Shanghai. First impressions of China; noise, traffic, humidity, smog, rain, bustle, shouting, spitting, umbwewa umbwewa! However to buy the same drink in one of the bars here would cost you around £6 so we really had to watch the pockets. Thursday, February 4, 2010. Introducing "Meet Your Neighbours". It is my great pleasure to announce the launch of a new project that I've developed in coordination with conservation photographer and ILCP. Founding Fellow, Niall Benvie. It's called “ Meet Your Neighbours. And its mission is to celebrate the species of plants and animals that we think. In essence, Meet Your Neighbours is a photographically driven, environmental education program designed to nurture those connections. To learn more about th...

ESCAPE ILLOCITY
Friday, April 1, 2011. So if stockholm syndrome is when you're held captured by someone against your will and soon you sympathize with your capturer, what is it called when you're held somewhere against your will (financially) and you still hate everyone and everything? Because i have that. I'll find out about grad school by june 15 at the latest so around that date i'm either buying an airplane ticket out of texas or packing my car and driving back to california. Labels: another complaint about texas.

Welcome to E-scape Illustrations, where I celebrate the “traditional art form” of free-hand drawing and detailing.
