A life out of a backpack. Anxieties and fears of a new chapter…. October 23, 2016. Off we go again…. Oosh, 2 years since last post… I guess I got a little slack. After prolonged spell there we headed to China where we spent nearly a month. Loved it even better the second time: halleluyah for offline Google Translate! And downed it straight from the mini bottle holding it with shaking hands… What a sight I made! So what brought on the need to write again? October 15, 2014. After a couple of days we depart...

A life out of a backpack. Newer posts →. New friends and old friends…. April 14, 2014. Don’t you just hate it when you have written a post and then it disappears when you are adding photos? This has happened and I fear that the second time around the post will not be as good since I am trying to recall what it was I said and probably failing! And few things that are happening in and around the next few weeks and months that make me reflect on one of the best and worst part of travelling: making friends.

Cambodia once more | Escaping the Known

https://escapingtheknown.wordpress.com/2014/10/15/cambodia-once-more

A life out of a backpack. To Thai border and back again. Anxieties and fears of a new chapter… →. October 15, 2014. After a couple of days we departed for Kratie. The journey was more of a hoot than the destination. We were told to be ready for 7am and at 6.30am there was a knock on the door: they are here! We were not even packed yet! One of the Banlung waterfalls. The crater lake in Banlung. Another waterfall around Banlung. Fine rug dining by the Lake in Banlung. On our tuk tuk ride. Kep from the hill.

Escaping The Grind

Thursday, March 24, 2011. I worked for AT&T for 2 years and though I met a lot of great people and learned a lot of new things, that job also took away the one thing that I valued most: my time. The new job allows me to have the ever popular 9-5 schedule which allows me to utilize my evenings and weekends strictly for playing music, seeing family/friends, and eating mexican food. Keep on keepin' on. Saturday, March 12, 2011. If someone was to ask you who you were, what would you tell them? In the followi...

Escaping the Matrix – How We the People can change the world

How We the People, can change the world. A book by Richard Moore. Growing up in 1950’s America, I believed all the stories about the American Dream, American Benevolence, Prosperity via Capitalism, and Bringing Democracy to the Free World. That all sounds so quaint now, after Vietnam, 9/11, Guantanamo, torture, targeted killings, economic collapse, and all the rest. How did it get that way? How might we change it? How might a more sensible world operate? Richard Moore’s Escaping the Matrix. Richard has s...
