http://escapingwinter.blogspot.com/2007/10/where-did-summer-go.html
Expat Canadians in Bermuda. Life in Bermuda as seen through the eyes of two former Calgarians. Tuesday, October 16, 2007. Where did the summer go? It has been a while since we last wrote anything, due partly to just being outside so much all summer enjoying the great outdoors as well as to the fact that we were robbed while we were sleeping one night and were without a laptop or Internet connection (the thieves stole that too! Keeping this post short but will get back into posting on a regular basis incl...

As though the books themselves were complicit and eager to share the secret desires of women locked in bedrooms. I learned words. Like "throbbing" and "tumescent" and, though giggling uncomfortably, would still take them home, the rose-pink dust jackets leaving my fingers gritty with dust. World weary and intense teenager that I was, I progressed quickly from used copies of harlequin romances to Stephen King to Camus to Nietzsche, and I have only recently re-discovered the joys of a good smutty novel.

Inter Faeces Et Urinam Nascimur. Sunday, July 13, 2014. World Cup 2014 - Final thoughts. Year of the Horse driven predictions were spot on - except that I got a little cute and bet on Brazil vs Argentina finals. We all now know how that turned out. My money is on Argentina as I think they will win, but my emotional favourites remain Germany. Alexis Sanchez has signed. An early signing - whats going on, I say? Monday, June 23, 2014. Ensemble Cast and Secrets Revealed. Asymp; Leave a comment. The first movie of 2014 for me was American Hustle. Besides the hair, makeup, and clothes (way to go costume and makeup people two thumbs up) the ensemble cast makes this movie. Bradley Cooper. Did anyone doubt this would be a good movie? The first three books I finished in 2014 were Beautiful Day. And The Secret Keeper. I really enjoyed Reconstructing Amelia. Amelia dies in the beginning and her death is ruled a suicide, but her mom isn’t sold ...

Expat Canadians in Bermuda. Life in Bermuda as seen through the eyes of two former Calgarians. Saturday, June 20, 2009. The tall ship festival ended last week and it was spectacular. We were not able to watch the tall ships come into Hamilton on the Thursday due to commitments, but the parade of sail on the Monday was pretty impressive. One great thing about leaving is now we feel free to express ourselves without fear the the work permit will be revoked and we will be being thrown off the island . The p...

Escaping With Jenny | All the fun of the fair
All the fun of the fair. Fashion Disaster night, everyone should have one! July 12, 2015. The forecast is pink fog, followed by a heatwave, then a little changeable. My wife is pretty amazing, I may have mentioned it before. However she has one character trait which is a mixed blessing; when she gets an idea in her head, she rarely lets it go. Now this is mostly a positive thing. It’s great being married to a go-getter, especially when I am so laid back, or is lazy more accurate? One last chat about Spar...
